thing you are interested? My impression is that you don't have to worry
about Davis's reputation in SF bay area when compared with Santa Clara,
be it IP or other fields; it's basically nothing different from
Hastings's. I heard Santa Clara's good name in IP was related to a
great patent professor who is now retired, so it's hard to say what will
happen in three years since now every law school seems to invest a lot
in IP. |

刚刚回了一个家长的帖子，想想还在这里单开一贴。
如果是找family care的话，全力推荐一个我儿子以前上的family care的阿姨。
收0－5岁小朋友。
她姓刘，小朋友叫她明娜阿姨。四十岁左右，江浙人。
最重要的是人特别nice，通情达理，孩子放在她那儿，很放心。
我们现在有时候晚上和周末有事情，需要临时care的话，都会找她。
她以前一直在我儿子原来在cupertino的daycare 当老师，干了5－6年了把，最近开始
单干了。
所以暂时小孩相对比较少。对于小小孩来说这绝对是好事，很多attention。
她新的地方我没去过，是她昨天刚刚给我打个电话，问问是否有朋友有需要的。
但是有一点我可以说，她的人非常好！经验丰富。绝对没有错！

今天去Santa Clara DMV第一次路考没通过，临时驾照也在今天过期了，但officer说不
能延临时驾照，手里现在只有permit。
考了下古，DMV的网站说临时驾照最长可以90天的（我过期的只有60天）：http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/newsrel/newsrel11
网上也有朋友说不同的DMV处理方法不同，有的DMV能extension临时驾照。
如果是这样，打算再去Redwood City或Los Gatos的DMV试试。
