英语中的词汇很多来自法语、德语及其他国家的语言,但是很多人却没有想到其中很多词汇也来源于中国。美国《华盛顿邮报》7日晨报道称,在距离英国本土有半个世界之远的中国,其本国的语言、汉语已经影响了英语。
报道说,一些人们日常所使用的词汇以及词组,很多均来自中国。报道举例说明称,很多看似稀松平常的词语,例如“番茄酱”(Ketchup)一词,竟然是由中国的航海贸易商所创造。

falling behind the blistering speed of China's manufacturing growth,
according to Japanese figures released Monday.
Japan's cabinet office released its nominal gross domestic product figures

China calls on Canada to free Huawei CFO or face consequences
BEIJING/OTTAWA: China warned Canada on Saturday that there would be severe
consequences if it did not immediately release Huawei Technologies Co Ltd's
chief financial officer, calling the case "extremely nasty."
