了一些麻烦，也只能通过互联网来向大家倾诉，希望能得到大家的帮助。对我来说时间
比较紧，我必须在7月28日之前做出决定，而这个决定让我左右为难。
事情是这样的，我于2006年年底买了一间townhouse，每月的第一天应交接近100元的管
理费。由于我来加时间不长，英语也不好，周围又很少有中国人，缺乏这方面的经验。
通常我总是在第二个月的第一天，将二个月的费用通过支票寄到物业，也就是说，如
2008年1至2月的管理费，我是在2月1日寄出。按这种方式，我们平安无事渡过了一年多
，物业从来没找过我们，可以说这种方式物业是可以接受的。
按惯例，今年的5至6月的管理费应在6月1日寄出，但不幸的是我忘记了。在7月11日我
收到了物业7月7日写出的一封信，告诉了我5、6月管理费没交，希望我尽快去交。信上
这样写着：“Please mail your cheque(s) to XX management Inc.” and “Pay

个巡警，电话报警当地警察居然不管不问，拒不出现场，到几公里外的警局报案，警员
打印完报警失物报告就要撵我们出警局，稍多说几句就惹其变得很恼怒。这是什么样的
文明国家，这就是法兰西所标榜的自由、平等、博爱？

十次，Calgary去了三次，Edmonton , Halifax, Winniepeg, Windsor 都去过。美国来

海归比较美国和加拿大：可能都没有在中国生活好

先自我介绍一下，本人在加拿大住了4年，其中读书+工作，之后到美国工作5年。因为
工作需要出差的关系，把北美的各大城市几乎都跑了一个遍。去年年底一个偶然的机会
，拿到了一个回国的Offer，算是踏入了海归的行列。写这篇文章的目的，纯粹是为了
激励一下和我一样有海归期望的人。
大环境比较
现在的海归与否，已经和爱国无关。在一个世界大环境相对稳定的前提下，至少在
未来十年之内，我们看不到中美加有爆发大战的可能。现在的个人选择，都是在比较经
济条件和生活水平。每个人的条件不同，所以具体到行业，经验的分析，只能根据个体
来做。但是，一个外在的大环境的比较还是可行。
个人认为，众多的网上讨论里，有两个盲区。
一是在中美比较的时候，或者捧中压美，或者褒美贬中。
似乎21世纪只能有一个选择，中国崩溃或美国崩溃。而似乎没有几个人会想像，也
许中美共存，同时强大也是一个可能。中美之间经济的互相依赖性和渗透性，也把两者
的命运几乎绑在了一起。

我家里条件可能稍好的，祖上少有余财，认识几个字。比较可靠的历史，我们是明朝卫
所兵的后代，卫所兵理论上有50亩土地，而且凭军功还可以赏赐到更多土地。清朝废除
了卫所，我这一支祖上搬到20里路以外，一直有片农地和山林。我们这些军户形成的小
家族会养马，偶尔往县城贩运各种货物谋利。据说还有一套祖传的《三国演义》，平时
收藏在阁楼上面，后来毁于毛泽东时代。
回想起先祖留下的各种器物，觉着个个都拥有老邱一样的奇怪生存技能。会养马，繁殖
马，用荆条编织成各种筐子贩卖，用草编织成雨披，把大石头凿成喂马的槽子，烧煤打
铁制作的劣质工具，把泥巴晒干成土块盖房子，会用有毒的植物汁液捕杀小河沟里面的
鱼。

卖家说是车子还有贷款没付完，title在银行那里。
说交易可以给他写完cheque就把车开走。（当然之前还要各种mechanic check)，他用
其中一部分付清余下贷款，然后等银行把title寄给他后再签字给我。
这么弄我当然要承担风险。所以我打算去他贷款的银行问问这种事情，当然肯定查不出
具体这笔贷款的信息，但可以问问这种情况能不能我和卖家一起去银行把贷款付清，让
银行notary且把title名字改了直接寄给我之类的。

邮局不可以办。我这里虽然不是大农村，但是稍大的bank只有USBank，且不提供这种服
务，citi 和 HSBS没有local
branch，实在搞不懂怎么才可以办到英镑的money order

He asked you not to cross the check so he can deposit the check into someone
else's account. It sounds fishy. |
