医说等9个月checkup的时候再打第二针。可是打针的护士说最好两针间隔在一到两个月
。有MM有类似的经验吗？到底应该间隔多久。不想宝宝挨了两针，最后不起作用。多谢

checkup的时候比都下降了，所以有些担心宝宝吃得不够。

代谢，肝肾功能妇科产科by default一般不查。一般保险每年可以报销一次常规family
dr checkup visit和一次gynecologist checkup visit，但是最好先和保险公司确认
一下。而且这个GYN需要做primary dr，不只做specialist的。

我家宝宝的出生医院也是不给配方奶，也不让我回家后喂配方，说初乳足够了。结果宝
宝5天checkup时体重掉了许多（没有10%，超过10%医生才允许加配方），到2周checkup
时也没有达到出生体重，幸运的是没有得黄疸。

我们家宝宝快５个月了，一直是躺着喂奶，最近发现有说法说躺着喂奶容易得中耳炎，
再结合他最近的表现（睡觉前平躺时爱使劲摇头，有时吃奶吃几口就吐出来），很怀疑
是不是得了中耳炎。
例行的checkup是约在２周后，是不是应该马上去让医生看看呢？最近宝宝被哥哥传染
了感冒，留了几天鼻涕，怕检查的时候反而弄坏耳朵，很纠结要不要马上去看医生。 |

昨天先打电话预约，是一个女的接的，讲话非常不耐烦，打得时候大约是中午，对方说
我是接线员，你3点钟后再打吧。3点以后打，感觉还是同一个人接的，很不耐烦地说，
不用预约，你上午9-11点和下午3-5点之间来就好。打完了电话就心里直嘀咕，和朋友
打电话抱怨了一下，犹豫是不是要去，朋友说虽然他本人没去过，但是版上有熟人去过
，好像还可以，那个女的是老板娘，态度就是不好，vet本人还是不错的，所以我今天
就带着猫猫过去了。
老板娘当面的态度倒是还可以，问我做什么，我说checkup,顺便问问有没有好的flea
treatment. 因为大家都不预约，所以所有人都一起等，我在等的时候来了更多的人。
轮到我的时候，vet问我来做什么，我说general checkup, 顺便看看有没有好的flea
treatment.然后他就一把把猫从笼子里抓出来，然后拿了一个体温计，一下子就插到猫
猫的肛门里，猫猫抖动了几下，我看得胆战心惊，也心疼死了，怎么也不用润滑，也不
慢慢的轻点来。量完体温，和我说发烧了，要吃药，然后就给猫猫打了一针，我也不知
道打得什么。我说多 |

头围90％，体重只有50％（15/8oz)，吃的东西都挪到头部去了。
6周前checkup的时候，头围和体重都是50％。
4个月时候吃了米糊，小嘴明显嘟嘟起来。
最近开始喜欢吃手吃脚了。小嘴已经可以够得着脚趾。

背景：老婆的朋友和她老公都是berkeley本科毕业，她老公也工作十多年了，工资应该
很高。家里俩小孩，3岁5岁。两年前在95131买的房子，不知道现在loan多少。他老婆
part time工作。
两个月前公司被别人买了，他工资比较高，被裁了。工资发到9月30号。10月1号正式
off the payroll.
结果现在cobra一个月：$2300
想换成便宜点的plan，好像是blue cross? 一个月说好像是4到5百？
然后说想趁好的plan没到期之前去做个checkup，去医院查了一下，结果医院说建议他
去看一个什么专科医生，结果预约那个医生就预约到了10月中。为了保险能cover那个
专科医生，他们只要又接着用$2300的保险...
好几个朋友原来都对obamacare深恶痛绝，但我们聊起这个朋友的事情，大家都在说：
赶紧去申请obamacare...
本人恬着脸也冒充一下伪中产吧，反正听了这个朋友的经历，就一个感觉：做牛做马也
要保住工作，不然医疗保险就坑死我了...

大家都知道MEDICAID会帮穷人付医疗费。其实医院/医生只能从MEDICAID那儿拿到10-20
%的钱。所以说如果你一次医生VISIT的钱是200的话，其实医生只能从MEDICAID拿到20-
40，和你COPAY的钱差不多。所以老婆产后CHECKUP时和医生说我们买的保险一点也不好
，如果再生娃，付现金的话，能不能便宜一些。医生二话不说，拿出张现金的LIST，果
然便宜好多。正巧，当天老婆穿了件补过的衣服，就向医生哭穷，说能不能再打个折。

我们参加了biometric screening有$40的discount，再去掉$10的smoking free
discount,preimier还是原来的$51,这样一打折，反而个人基本上只交1刀就够了，小孩
在LP的保险上，新的obamacare，所有的well being checkup就都不用交钱了，原来有
些交个copay，现在copay都不交了。
我觉得这个对中产低于15万的family，还是好很多的，当然前提是你没有pre
condition，有pre condition的感觉保险明显涨了。

the firestone guys showed me their free checkup report: CV axle in a bad
condition and tires all over aged. They urged me to have it fixed that day,
and the total cost would be around 700$. Previously I had heard friends
talking about firestone suggesting unnecessary and expensive services, so I
said I would think about it and get back to them later.
My car is driving fine. Does anybody know how to check the CV axle

更不用说很多老中（尤其是学生），平时很少保养车的，除了换机油和tire rotation
外，很少routine checkup车辆，一直都是用到最后出了问题才去修车，而这种情况下
，小问题都已经变成大问题了。。。 |
