有一个叫Copyright Enforcement
Group的公司，声称是那部电影版权所有人的代理，发现我的IP在下载那个电影，但是
只能检测到我的ip地址，不知道我是谁，于是发信给charter，让他们转发给我，让我
接收pre-settlement，去他们的网站上（copyrightsettlements.com)交钱（200美元）
，然后他们会给个release。如果过期不交，他们可能会起诉我。
问题是charter不会把我的信息给他们，除非他们去找法院，法院给charter一个
subpoena要求charter把我的信息交给他们，他们才能起诉我。

和办学水平。
我们州（AZ）最好的学校是charter school，我的小孩也在一个charter school里读（
不是最好的那个系统）。
比较一下普通公立学校 vs charter school。后者学习的课程难度比较大，通常比较超
前（比如2年级学的是3年级的水平），通常课外活动也有要求，更多的选择（有硬性要
求），更多的比赛机会。也可能班级比较小。小孩被bullying的机会小很多。大的公立
学校，学生众多，管理起来很难，所以孩子学得好坏，需要多靠家长的努力和能力。如
果是非名牌公立学校，学生的大学ready比例比较低。这也就是为何在美国很多老中要
买学区房的一个理由。
你可以研究一下你所在区里有什么charter school，是否有规划要盖新的。
通常，还是有竞争，才会让教育走向良性的发展，否则公立学校光被教师工会折腾一下
，就会腐败，不务正业。 |

charter school是最好的，但是要抽签，我有个美国同学说他上的是另一个地方的
charter school，说charter school好，但是需要准备很多的材料，突显孩子的能力之

请问版上妈妈charter school确实是比一般小学好嘛？现在家里默认小学是8分。

我看目前的趋势可能是，弯曲核心地带的差区会有更多的以白人领导的CHARTER SCHOOL
。这些CHARTER SCHOOLS拿政府资源，THEY SKIM THE CREAM OFF MILK，拿走坏区内最
好的学生，形成类似重点中学的形式，传统差区的school board会被边缘化。白人有很
多资源，搞charter不能如意，就sue。我以前看了很久想在redwood city买个房子出租
，因为我比较了解那里，但就是小小破烂黑屋都太贵了。redwood city的重点小学初中和

的网络信号极弱，要重新连线。问明不收费后，就让他屋里屋外地干起来。屋外雪堆如

再说你为什么觉得charter school分了你的税钱，税钱是跟学生走的，烂区的娃在自己
的区的学校上学， 和去charter school上学， 分到的你的税钱是一样的。要想不被人

然后被左B们联合打压下去了. 从Bloomberg开始起就打压, 新市长上台以后更是猖狂.
原因很简单.
charter大多有特色教育, 比如中文双语教学, 波兰语加课等等.
其次charter的成绩往往好于同区的其它公立学校.
再三, 家长为了送孩子进charter, 往往使用各种手段, 包括贿赂(纽约的双文的校长就
是因为这个被抓, 不知道是被冤枉的还是真贪)
这对美国的教师工会吃大锅饭的, 都是非常大的挑战.
很多家长也反对, 他们自己不求上进, 还眼红嫉妒其他人家上进的孩子, 自己淹死, 也

好学校。不想让charter schools分我们交的那点可怜的税钱。但话要说的冠冕堂皇一
些，所以原来的第3条打算删除了。
又作了一些功课，发现charter schools对咱们中产阶级老中绝对弊多利少。Charter
schools 缺少透明度，因为有更多的independence。咱们老中现在政治影响弱，很担心
给学校当局screwed，孩子想上好学校却因为各种理由给挡在门外。现在的制度好处就
是，你看上哪个学校，只要你能买得起或租得起旁边的房子，学校没有权利据你于门外。

charter里面会写办学的方式和目标。主要都强调创新之类的，目的是提高学生成绩---
没办法，大部分公立学校烂呀，学生成绩上不去。但是charter学校的成绩并没有预期
理想，不少没有达标被关门的。当然也有真的办得很好的。看具体情况。 |

我先也不是很信，因为最近接到一个华人电话公司的电话几次，她们说可以帮我加个电

想问下关于开户的问题， 1种是护照开户，需要本人去营业厅。1种是ssn的，直接电话
或者网络开

5到帐，十月初开通网上账号，同时enable online estatement。之后把该做的事情都
做了，10月底就开始盼望1号能看到200多的利息~~~ （我有两个账号）
3号收到charter的email说我不qualify，原因呢：没有enable online estatement。但
是，我明明查过，那个enable选项已经打了钩，然后再仔细一看，后面写了个pending
confirmation。原本我也注意到了这个，但是以为pending是因为charter bank的
system，没以为是自己没有click through confirmation email，所以pending。但是
抱有一丝侥幸，我打了客服电话，没想到他们态度很不好，而且非常坚决地说不可能帮
我。
后来，特别是电话后，我越想越觉得他们是有意的，有几点吧~

弱问，开charter的网
想问下关于开户的问题， 1种是护照开户，需要本人去营业厅。1种是ssn的，直接电话
或者网络开
如果是新开户，就可以拿到30刀带宽12M有效期半年的优惠。
那么如果我是以前开过户，关过，打算再开charter，还能同样拿这个半年期的优惠么。
主要是超过半年太贵了。好像很多人都是半年一换，特地来问下，多谢 |

average SAT score was 2218.

大学搞AA。现在的就近入学至少可以避免这个问题。

可是，一分的学校和十分的学校人头费是一样的吧？现在的制度你们好学区的家庭不还
是多交了税，不能完全用到自己头上吗？如果charter school能把原本差校的钱用得更
有效，不是对大家都是好事吗？

几天查到附近有一个Charter School，也是10分，看了介绍，Charter School是介于
private和public之间，也是不需要学费的。想请教一下Charter school怎么样？需要
花的钱和捐助学校的东西多么？另外，这个学校是K-8，不知道K和elementary都在一个

觉得想折腾折腾，教育还是最有成就感，我也想有个职业可以赶到65岁，能有个特有干劲
的工作可以称为事业。我目前的专业工作只能是工作，撞钟的那种，过几年做不动了就
得早退休。
我儿子也特想妈妈当个校长办公室主任啥的，他认为校长职位最大，尽管我跟他解释校长
是各个家长雇佣的她的听家长的。
我们州对谁想开CHARTER SCHOOL没什么限制，我想其它州也这样。
这个是个STARUP，需要很多
LOCAL的资源整合及跟官老爷大交道。不过这里的官老爷基本都是有章可循，难度降低
不少。
为啥开CHARTER SCHOOL，不开私立？ CHARETER SHCOOL 政府出钱，不缺生源。私立是
自己收学费，没有几个老中原因住好学区还上私校。老美现在还是穷人占大半，不用交
学费就可以保证生源。
有心动的吗？可以组个小组一起讨论组建过程分享资源，算是互助组，比如CHARTER的
宪章都得起草，几个人分别动笔修改，相互改改交上去就比一个人琢磨要有效率的多。
而且很多过程都是大同小异，发挥做小组作业的精神就轻松过了。分享分享如何找到合
适的BOARD 人选也是挺好的。 |

有个专门的 charter school的组织，介绍如何成立 charter school
每年还有 info session，介绍如何做这个。
我估计各个州的情况不一样，得查自己州里面的要求
因为 charter school 是要拿公众的钱的，不会是无组织无纪律的 |
