Champaign）有1万800名国际学生，其中的中国留学生竟有5200多人，佔了约50％。
美联社昨报导，中国留学生蜂拥而至，导致此大学城风貌丕变，连银行都出现讲中文的
僱员。
报导指出，受到大量中国留学生涌入的影响，伊利诺大学厄巴纳─香槟校区大学城内不
仅出现会说中文的银行僱员，还有几家服饰店、餐厅和茶馆迎合亚洲学生的需求。该校
东亚语言暨文化中心主任欧伊勒说：「城镇的风貌与10年前大相迳庭。对于这样大小的
城镇而言，来自东亚的留学生是很大量的一群人。」
有官员认为，国际学生人数成长促近当地经济发展，但也有评论者认为，伊利诺大学校

UIUC 的学生，叫 Yingying, 而且卖珠宝的目的是解决教育费用 （sell jewel to

这样的一种表现，其实已经说明了她不可能是作为刚刚到美国做访问学者的章莹颖，这
个女人本
人就是一个摆摊卖廉价珠宝首饰的商贩，她捡到了被嫌疑犯丢弃的章的衣物（含证件书
包），她可能都不知道物主的死活或者涉及刑事案件。这些证件让她有了冒充女大学生
博取买主同情，从而花钱买她的首饰的想法。
这个女人应该还在附近，还在摆摊儿，只是也许她听说了绑架案之后，不再敢穿章的衣

附近一个公寓外遇枪击受伤，目前嫌疑人仍在逃。枪击案受害人名叫Weijing Li（李维
菁，音译），现在正在当地一家医院接受治疗，事发当天手术后病情稳定。
据当地媒体WLFI网站报道，印第安纳州西拉法叶的警方说表示，周二（11月28日）晚上
10点左右, 警员接到报警前往布朗街300座的海滨公寓（Waterfront Apartments）。李

内曾向联邦调查人员表示，愿意认罪并与调查人员充分配合，交待他处理章莹颖遗体的
位置，而作为条件——他希望可以免于死刑，寻求无期徒刑，但检方拒绝了这一提议。
“在被捕后，克里斯滕森同意检方对他的指控并表示愿意认罪。”他的律师在25日晚7
点向法院提交的一份新动议文件中写道，“并愿与调查人员充分合作，提供他掌握的有
关犯罪的所有信息，包括受害者遗体的位置，而作为交换条件，他将被判处无期徒刑不
得保释而非死刑。”
按照此前检方的描述，2017年6月9日，章莹颖在Urbana-Champaign校园内搭上了克里斯
滕森的汽车，之后被绑架至其住处并被残忍杀害。在2019年6月12日开始的正式审判中
，律师承认克里斯滕森杀害了章莹颖。然而她的尸体至今没有被找到。

大学香槟分校附近的公寓内发生了一起凶杀案，一名在美攻读博士学位的中国留学生将
自己的前女友残忍杀害。这件事在留学生圈子内引起轩然大波。该案于6月18日宣判，
中国留学生次永飞被判入狱监禁46年。
报道援引伊利诺伊州当地媒体消息称，18日，次永飞在香槟县(Champaign County)法官
海蒂•莱德(Heidi Ladd)面前承认，去年在杀害前女友时，他很清楚自己在做“
很可怕的事”。他让法官“在审判前，不要以一件事来看我，而是要从我的人生来了解
我。”
莱德法官显然是先认真考虑了次永飞在杀人前29年的人生，才判处他入狱服刑46年。5
月，次永飞对一级谋杀指控认罪，助理州检察官(Assistant State's Attorney)史蒂夫
