我36周以前居然不知道有些ob和医院的c-section rate是很高的。C-section rates
higher at for-profit hospitals。 我天真地以为一切交给医生和医院，听从安排就
好了。妈妈和婆婆也这么劝我。中国都是些老实孩子啊。只有老公说自己的事情自己做
主。
第一经验就是，生产的时候产房里面一定要是你信任的、而且爱护你的、同时有一定鉴
别能力的人围在周围。产妇很虚弱，躺床上任人宰割，身边的人就因该站出来，不停地

with our physical status.
Some cesarean survivors think they are no longer afraid of cesareans, while

delivery.
If you first cesarean delivery is neither classical c/s nor low vertical
incision in the uterus, you may consider to have a trial of labor after c/s
(TOLAC) or vaginal birth after c/s (VBAC).
The indication of c/s in China is not well controlled. If you are indicated
to have TOLAC, the successful rate to VBAC is relative high (>70%).

I will listen to the doctor's suggestions (but doctors' opinions do vary, so the suggestion from one doctor is not all that you can hear from the medical world) but I will weigh the risks by myself and make my own decision accordingly. not supportive of VBAC, which is very common here. Even if your wife's labor
starts naturally sometime later, it is very easy for her to make a biased
decision during your wife's labor if she thinks your wife "should" have a
surgery. It will be a disaster if she keeps thinking in that way. A last
minute changing to someone even without insurance coverage is worth trying,

perform a cesarean if the failure of the delivery can be shown not to be
caused by the doctor. But it is unfair for patients to undergo unnecessary
major surgeries. Doctors have plenty of terminology to use when they exaggerate the risks if they prefer cesarean to end "their" tasks, so it is hard for patients to make an informed decision.

Today (most recent issue, Winter No 36 page 47) ACOG recently updated their
opinion on VBAC and stated "VBAC is safer than repeat cesarean and VBAC with
more than one previous cesarean does not pose any increased risk". The
Guidelines can be obtained from: ACOG, 409 12th St SW, Washington DC 20024.
