CATARACT CANYON, ZION NARROW, SALT RIVER MUDDY CREEK, DOLORES, ROYAL GORGE,
GATE OF LODORE, 都在我计划之内,加上YUKON和ALASKA, GRAND CANYON有望10年内拿下

CANYON LAND有两段可以漂: GREEN的一段,比较容易.
另一段是一般PADDLER传说中的CATARACT CANYON, 难度大指得是这个. 有个非常有名的
RAPID, "BIG DROP", 今天的水位BIG DROP可能有IV+-V级, 但水小的时候就III+. 下游
的RAPID被GLEN DAM淹了. 风景没GC好, 但比GC WILD. 难度不仅仅是RAPID, 还有RAPID
之后可能的危机处理, 是比较极限的WILDERNESS... |

看了一个cataract canyon 的5天的tour. 是那种guide 负责滑和掌舵，偶们只坐在船
上的。是那种橡皮艇。 就是自己不用raft. 这个是不是很没劲

发帖数: 3975 | 7 在水上运动, 无商业向导漂大峡谷的概念就是爬珠峰.
昨晚我读了急流大概的特征, 共8个IV的激流, III级的无数. 8个里, 有六个是可以勘
察和抬船,还有俩比较困难, 如果抬太多的船就是CHEATING也失去很多意义,不过方便抬东西是安全的一个保障, 更多考虑把补给物质抬过去. 失去重要物质的后果远比翻船本身更恶劣.
练习大阀子在IV是一个比较长的过程, 我考虑至少 要在 阿肯色河漂三天( III+- IV)
+ Cataract Canyon(110M)5-6天 之后才能说自己有实力在大峡谷里RUN自己的RAFT.
上面俩个基本比大峡谷难度低半级, 也能说服老美带我们. 第一次必须在有经验的带领
是 NPS的要求. 第一次 我们4-5人- 一个筏子就足够.
这次ALAKSGA 我们A组大概敲定 8-9人(目前人选是7-11), 一个标准RAFT+ 俩只小船+两
只中船是我们最理想配置, 其中有很多RAFT训练. |

我很满意。这与几年前刚用上iphone的感觉类似，觉得技术革新真是改变人类生活的
好东西。保护眼睛，不用常充电，小巧易携带，这些优点都逐渐体会到了。我一开始也
下载了不少中文书(www.shucang.com)和版权过期的经典外文书，小拼字游戏(amazon)
等等。弄了几十本以后，就觉得太值了。 但是, 拥有了书不等于就会去读---对我来说
，免费的陈列性新书不容易看进去；而以前看过的书，我感觉用kindle查找也不方便。
kindle翻页比较慢，这对我寻找需要的段落很不力： 我一般只是记得大致章节和内容
，用kindle没法快速翻阅到材料的位置。
我倒是一直有逛书店的习惯--或是连锁大店如B&N，或是小门面的专业及二手书店，这
些都是消磨个把小时的好地方。大店可以喝茶休息，翻翻新书；小店有不少寻觅偶遇的
乐趣。 另外，书店多半有点人世的嘈杂，时人当下的趣味。对我来说，它们是比令人
昏昏欲睡的图书馆更好的休闲去处。 有了kindle之后，去书店更有趣了。以前在新书

1) give insulin as ordered
2) check glucose
3) call doctor with result
做kaplan的时候，question trainer 5, #147，DM 1病人9am cataract surgery,
usually 30U of NPH and 10U of regular insulin at 7am everyday. 问今天怎么办。
按照sick day rules，我选了give insulin and monitor BS q 2-4 hours.
答案是hold morning dose of NPH and regular insulin and monitor BS.
刚好和sick day rules相反。是不是sick day rules只适用于sick day，这样的
surgery/procedure day不能照搬。
有谁知道，能否解释一下。 |

received sedation (MAC), their complaint may not be valid.
a lot of patient file this kind and that kind of complaints for reasons
utterly not related to medical service, mostly stem from the huge bill they
received from hospital - unfortunately doctors and nurses have to endure the

大家都喜欢户外运动，但是户外运动要注意一点，就是眼睛的UV protection.
这个UV protection有多重要呢？有很多眼病的risk factor都有UV exposure. 随便说
两个。
cataract, 就是白内障，现在是有手术了，但是有风险。而且手术本身就是glaucoma
青光眼的
risk factor.青光眼没什么特别有效的治疗方法，控制不好就等着瞎了。
Age related Macular Degeneration, 这个病只有wet form能控制一下，在眼睛里打针，
$1000/shot, 1shot/month.dry form的就等着瞎了。
大家为了60以后还能看得见，户外活动要带眼镜。不近视的要带sunglasses,近视的就
好一些，因为
