The reason I think it is a bad idea to follow some of the suggestions here,
such as to use "able to" or "cannot", is that by avoiding saying "cann't",
you are wasting a great opportunity to improve your English that the
challenge brings.
Once you learn it, you can speak English more confidently. No improvement is
too small to pass.
Every challenge opens doors to opportunities to improve ourselves in some
way. It's a pity that you would want to waste any of them. |

首先我不是学英文出身，下面谈论的只是我这几年在工作中学到的经验，希望大家补充。
我们很多同胞，包括我自己，发现不知怎么的，无缘无故就得罪了别人。其实有些时候
是由于我们的用词的习惯。很多英文词所表达的意思非常强烈，被称为strong words,
听者很容易区分话者的潜在意图，而我们非英语母语出身的对这一点很难把握和区别。
譬如：
YES or NO: YES 就是100% agree the statement, and No, 100% do not, 干脆而没有
回旋余地. 美国人不是非常喜欢用NO, 因为（本人猜测）一方面完全否认对方，对方会
感觉not appreciated even offended, 第二too negative.
所以如果您要表达不同意见，与其说NO, 不如说：what you say/propose is a great

I am pretty sure that it won't be a problem. The only problem is that the
OPT will start and expire as schedule. You cann't apply for another OPT
after you graduation unless you get a higher degree.

In fact, what she said is mostly true. There is not much to say about the
facts. The only thing you can argue, is that different people look at things
with different perspectives. Someone (like you), may think Japanese
government's treating of history is moer serious. Other people (like her)
would consider the Chinese government worse. Neither is correct or
incorrect, just differnt opinions.

借用虎肉的格式，不要人肉啊，ID是老婆大人的。
第一年：硕士毕业，赶在911前几天来到美国, 系里第一年不用选老板, 自己随意读书
选课题, 冬天买了第一辆车, 自由时间太多, 天天泡在体育馆, 篮球水平急速上升。
第二年：选了老板, 开始搞正规课题, 老板只比我大一岁, 组里四年级师姐比俺还小一
岁, 让俺很郁闷。冬天投了在美国的第一篇文章到PLDI，然后老板带俺去开OSDI，
present paper， 好喜欢Boston。
第三年：老板被系里赶走了，去了MSR，准备换老板，和各个大老板面试，这一年真荒
废了。不过篮球水平快半专业了。老板走了，师姐毕业去了很好的teaching
university教书。
第四年：换了老板，老板啥都不管，自己找funding, 自己找课题，冬天回国相亲，老
