发帖数: 61 | 1 从2014年也就是今年开始，这条路对于不是campep学位 + campep residency 的人来说
已经关掉了。 要过ABR part 2 必须要 CAMPEP residency 毕业。 要进入CAMPEP
residency 80%以上的需要CAMPEP Graduate school 毕业。 再加上很大一部分program
不支持签证的问题，所以是一个死循环。
对于 你来说唯一的 shortcut 就是做postdoc. 这条路可能会很长，只要找到好老板和
学校的话还是很有可能成功的。走这条路的postdoc非常多， 你要进入 residency
program 必须符合下面几个特点：
1. 只有top program academic center 才支持H1b.
2. 要进入这些 top program, postdoc 期间一定要有很多成果，非常强的research 背景
3. 有老板的鼎力推荐，加上老板在这个领域这个地域的名气。最好是找program
director做老板。 这个样的话你能选的就只有没几个人了。

发帖数: 6242 | 5 楼上的回答不是很准确。2014年后，被批准参加ABR part 1 和part 2的要求不一样。
part 1只需要CAMPEP认证过的研究生学位，证书，或者resident三选一。
part 2需要在part 1的基础上再满足 CAMPEP认证过的resident。
所以楼主说的这条路也可行，前提是1. program director愿意写信给ABR支持你，2.
ABR批准program director写的ABR支持信和part 1考试申请。

physics 领域。查了下现在ABR只认可CAMPEP认证才能考试。难道还得找个CAMPEP认证
的学校读个MS，不知道有没有part-time的program, 实在有些读够了。CAMPEP上只有

at least 2 new residencies each year in order to meet the 150-200 new opening
requirement. But the reality is that most non-CAMPEP programs don't have the funding
to support the residency, because most of their fundings are research oriented. They
are only allow to hire research based post-doc instead of clinical training
residency. AAPM, FDA or NIH have to find clinical funding for the rest of non-CAMPEP

一直做计算物理,材料模拟,一个偶然的机会在一个医院里做了一段时间的实习.正是在
这段时间接触到了medical physics。期间主要develop了一个 treatment planning 的
optimizaiton,参与了monthly QA。发现自己对这个领域还是比较感兴趣的。马上就要
毕业了，想在毕业后转到这个领域。因为2012，貌似对现在物理的phd有两条相对稳妥
的路可以走: 要么读一个campep medical physics master,然后在做resident; 要么现
在找medical physics的postdoc，然后再去campep的resident. 如果读master的话，要
自己花钱，学费不便宜；如果直接找medical physics的postdoc又怕自己的背景不够（

这两个list里面的机构不太相同，residency的list稍微长一些多一些。
现在问题就来了，

还是说必须是做了postdoc之后想办法做了他们的residence才能考ABR？

发帖数: 120 | 18 postdoc以前进这个领域的非常多，本身就算工作经验，可以用来考part2
现在有的acdemic center为了招postdoc，提供了certificate program，就是在做
postdoc的时候上一些课，可以满足part 1的要求，然后再找residency，要是research
做的强，可能搞定所在的residency program，不然就跟其他campep的学生去竞争
residency的位置，现在residency倒是多了很多。 好多program可以用J签证吧，这个
比H好办。
ABR的考试比较难搞，主要是oral，通过率50% |

一的途径。
1. 利用做postdoc期间，在老板的支持下免费可以完成certification program. 然后
申请第二年的residency.
2. 也可以自己投资一年50k学费完成certification program.
对于大多数人来说，1 是最佳成本最低 风险最低的选择。在我看来2014年之后，机会
最大的一条路。因为2-3年的研究经验和老板的强力推荐是最有用的。 2.可以减少时间
上的投资，如果博士期间或者之后如果没有非常多的文章，成果或者临床经验，单靠
certification program 成功申请residency的概率非常非常低。

多谢，不过他们表示Research Scholar category不能用。 如果确实，那做mp
resident，非医学院毕业的，J-1 visa 行不通， 需要或者那边提供h1b，或者自己有
别的身份（绿卡，opt 之类）
事先不知道J-1 category这些道道，CAMPEP和对方也没有提供这类信息，只是说可以
sponsor J-1，现在尴尬了。 教训深刻了 |

。就算偶尔有一些需要用到化学的地方，现补就是。
不过如果你决定进入这个方向的话还是要谨慎。目前来说就业的情况还是很好的，但是
同时进入这个领域的人也在不断增多，等到你毕业的时候就业情况怎样就难以预测了。
另外，一定要申请CAMPEP的program，找工作的时候会有很大的优势，而且毕业后作一
年的residency就有考board的资格。 |

我也知道补生物和化学课有点浪费时间，可是很多MP的PROGRAM都要求申请者有这方面
背景，我是觉得如果没修过这些课可能很多机会都没有了。例如The University of
Texas - Houston Health Science Center 就明确说明要一年的化学，一年的生物。难
道说可以免除？
另外，我看过campep上的accredited programs，有个疑问：如果在进入其中一个
program后，accredition到期了，那岂不会很令人失望？ |

florida有个program提供全online的课程，大概几万块，完了就申请resident，大多数
