发帖数: 39815 | 2 以前提过我们club一哥们6月份用link cam的时候break了一个 purple cam，他随后把
cam尸体送到Omega Pacific，等了两个月仍然没报告，觉得应该把整个过程贴出来提醒
一下整个climbing community, 就把事情经过贴到RC去了
整个过程陈述还算客观，基本没有misleading的地方。帖子后面的回复主要分成两派：
一派认为omega pacific有义务把link cam的弱点写的更清楚，让用户知道和普通cam不
同，一个non-optimal placement很容易break link cam
另一派认为用户应该仔细读说明书，link cam的弱点小学六年级毕业的人就应改能看出
来。
最好玩的是，有个人break 了两个link cam，依然是link cam的粉丝。
两派各执一词。 Omega Pacific常驻RC的代表也出来讲话，
各位trad climber如果有兴趣，可以把全部reply都仔细读读，挺娱乐，也挺有教育意义

上周末club的一个人, 在紫色link cam上一个4尺的lead fall,这个cam就break了, 多
亏他在下面6尺的地方还有一个pro保护. 今天晚上有幸看了一眼这个break的cam, 中间
的那块金属太薄了, 难怪会碎掉.
另外看到了网上别人贴的红色link cam break的照片, 发现这东西太不靠谱了.
多亏当时我没钱,没买这个. trad climber们,如果要买cam, 避免这个系列. 如果不幸
你已经买了, 用的时候小心一些吧, 很有可能fall的地方, 最好别用这个 |

it as a panacea.
Personally the purple link cam is my favorite, since small cams are usually
hard to avoid over/under cam, and the purple link cam is about the same
weight as a regular cam of this size. If you want to buy your first link cam
, go for the purple.
I can't think of any case that I woutld prefer the yellow or red link cams
unless I'm climbing a splitter, or I'm going for an unknown mixed route that
I don't |

confirmed me that if they were to buy one link cam, that would be the
purple. It weights similar as the same-sized BD (yes we weighed it), and
since small cams are really hard to place, link cam works well.
I was leading some finger cracks recently. The difficulty of placing small
cam, and how picky they're on the shape of the crack, make me really
appreciate the purple link cam. |

发帖数: 8941 | 11 发现infimite edge是dual cam，网上学习了一下，发现这种双凸轮结构的，容易出现
上下凸轮不同步的问题，比较麻烦。
听说都得过一阵子就找专人给做一次synchronize，这个，得多久做一次呢？如果比较
频繁，也是不小的花费。
很奇怪为什么不用single cam呢？single cam没有同步问题，简单很多。虽说缺点是不
容易做到很快的ibo speed，但是像infinite edge这样的弓本来也不算超快的，用
single cam应该没问题啊。
diamond系列的更贵一点的比如core，就是用single cam。很不解为什么更便宜的edge
反而是dual cam。 |

我还没见过全用cam的人，而且cam对crack也有要求的。我去年在J-tree爬的一个crack
据说就是 J-tree发生事故最多的一条路线，因为很popular，但有一半的地方crack不
完全平行，越往里越宽，cam放得快，但这种情况下容易walk。walk之后就undercam，
容易掉出来。
passive pro还是没法替代的。结构越简单的东西break的几率约小。各有各的用法。可
惜trad是不能靠犯错误来进步的。 |

拉着cam左右晃，你能看到cam会越走越深。取决于crack的形状，就会under/over cam
你爬的时候绳子不可避免的地会晃，就会把cam walk进去
上课的话这些应该都会讲到 |

而是实际上crack的结构制约了能保护的最大力，而且cam多少会walk, 细的crack很难
place cam，特别是C4 (metolius master cam好一些)，ball nut很amazing，在小的
crack里work的非常好，还有brassie。
上周末刚pop了一个0.3的BD cam，当然是我的问题，基本是个blind placement，怀疑
只engage了2个lobe

发帖数: 7016 | 22 Diamond系列2012年的三个成人弓——outlaw, fugitive, deadeye都是hard cam，如图
。这个cam越园越soft,越蛋形越hard。最开始我的ＤＷ是在６２磅，拉了几个星期觉得
不过瘾，调到了７０磅，后来它的弦自己拉伸了，最后变成只有６５磅。
实际上这期间我根本没有感觉到它的磅数降低了，反而觉得它是越来越沉，沉得我左肩
都开始痛了。个人感觉右手拉７０磅或者更高一点没有问题，因为用的是肌肉，练上一
个把月，新的肌肉就长起来了。但左手臂是关节硬抵硬，过去一个星期我天天去射箭，
射到后面感觉左手肩部肘部关节酸痛，快撑不住了。
这个hard cam，速度是快，但也有trade off，拉的时候要使出更大的力，而且letoff
zone特别短，到全拉之后，稍不留神(relax too much)，就会被它拉回去，那个肉痛啊
！上一个视频，“午饭时间练箭”，的第三箭就被它拉回去过一次。

于是买了ford lockpick
并且在amazon上买了摄像头
cam installation:
install on license plate -> powered by reverse light -> wire thru the trunk
into the vehicle -> you got an AV jack in car
lockpick installation:
check the demo video on youtube -> ... -> done
pros:
make my vehicle look fancy
cons:
那个ford lock pick 质量有点差 按广告说明我可以 activate video in motion,
right cam, front cam, ...（我觉得如果都能work也还算值这个价钱）

But we can certainly guess why the NCAA is recommending it to the Division 1
Amateurism Cabinet.
According to the Associated Press, the NCAA is looking into broadening the
definition of what classifies as an agent to include family members and
other (hopefully) soon-to-be-specified third parties in an effort to close
the loophole that allowed Newton to remain eligible last December.

。我很多不平行的也放的cam，拽一拽貌似也很secure。看来以后要小心点。怎么样
test会不会walk呢？我就只是上下拽拽感觉和判断下。

smooth。我喜欢binary cam，下一个目标是bowtech 的binary cam。
你现在极须上手，不管什么弓，先拿过来射着先，infinity 可以，你先用着，折腾着
，等知道需要什么后，再一步到位。infinity可以留着给娃用。 |

setup, tuning, fletching to my bow dealer. In term of hunting/killing, dual
cam, binary cam and single cam makes no difference. Buy the one you feel
most comfortable with.
To be successful in hunting, you need spend more time on the foodplot and
treestands.
If you get chance, go to ATA(Indianapolis) in this January. See and try out
everything; guarantee you will learn a bunch. |
