发帖数: 9607 | 1 准备铺瓷砖了，把原来的地胶都掀了，下面1/4寸的三合板underlayment也去掉了。在
有base cabinet的地方，地胶和三合板都被压在cabinet下面，现在是用刀子和锯子沿
着cabinet底边轮廓割出外围的地胶和三合板，本来是计划围着柜子铺瓷砖的。
可是在sink底下的cabinet，拆掉toe-kick之后发现cabinet底下的地胶很脏，很臭。似
乎cabinet底下如果有什么食物残渣进去基本就没法打扫，时间长了就发臭了。觉得没
法忍受。
现在觉得还是把base cabinet全部拆了比较好，有几个原因：
1。把cabinet底下的地胶和三合板全部扔掉，彻底清洁了。
2。把cabinet接触地面有些被水泡涨的板子修好。
3。把瓷砖铺到cabinet下面去，好看，也减少切割瓷砖的次数。
4。不担心洗碗机装不进去了。
5。已经决定换granite countertop，原来的countertop反正也要先拆掉，不如就此也
拆掉cabinet。
不知道要注意些什么事项？还有，就是将来怎么保持cabinet底下的卫生清洁？我感觉
很多垃圾就是扫地，擦地的时候被扫进去的。把t |

发帖数: 9607 | 3 正在拆厨房的base cabinet，可以看到cabinet底下累积了一些5年以来的食物垃圾，虽
然量不多，但很恶心。这次是准备整个地面都掀掉重铺了。
现在想的是，新的地砖铺好之后，在重新把cabinet装回去的时候，有什么方法能够防
止将来食物碎屑再被扫到cabinet底下，发酵发臭。最好水也不能进去。以后肯定会用
湿拖把拖地的。
现在有两个想法，一个是堵，就是在cabinet底下踢脚板跟地面之间上caulk，尽量完全
密封。一个是通，把踢脚板或者cabinet最底下的板子改成容易拆卸的，定期打扫。
你们觉得怎么做比较好？ |

发帖数: 9607 | 4 找平是最基本的。其实小的不平装granite的人也可以弄平的。
拆只需要一把putty knife和一把螺丝刀。用putty knife把counter top跟cabinet接缝
地方撑开，取下counter top。用螺丝刀把cabinet固定在stud上面的螺丝卸下，把连接
相邻cabinet的螺丝卸下，就可以把cabinet拿出来了。
装的时候先用水平仪找出地面最高点，以此点为底，在墙上用粉笔线弹出距地面34.5英
寸的水平线，所有cabinet的上沿装上之后要跟这个水平线对齐，不够高或者不平的，
下面用楔形木条垫起，然后上螺丝进入stud，上螺丝连接相邻的柜子。
如果有拐角，先装拐角的柜子。
对，装的过程中还需要经常用水平仪检查。

结果油漆都有几片变得很浅，有的掉了油漆，巨难看无比。我是一个对于diy的白痴，
加上领导也是白痴，因为以前我们一直都是买brand new的房子啥都不用操心。这次是
第一次买used的二手房。当时我都闹着要把整个cabinet给换了。实在觉得看了就不爽。
后来我们搬家公司找人来给我们修家具的油漆，然后我很虚心的向修家具的人询问了一
下这个该怎么处理。第一个人给了个solution就是到home depot去买dark cherry的颜
色的tint，然后clear coating。第二个人来修家具，我又随便问了一下。他当时给我
看了他们专业修的工具，说是homedepot没得买得prof的订购，这下我一下子傻了。最
后他跟我说，我们公司也可以修这个。我问他多少钱，他说$60，我一下子激动了，就$
60能搞定?!回头一想，这个是他说他公司charge的钱。我要是给他私人岂不是可以便宜
点。我就问他，我给你cash你多少钱修，给你私人不是给你公司。他说$50 ：）

我也觉得敞开的架子尽管不如柜子好看，但是更实用。我家里面有一排cabinets, 但经
常忘了东西以前已经买了，放在了cabinet里。有时也会忘了某个小东西在哪个cabinet
里，需要一个个cabinet 门打开看，挺繁琐的。但我书房里的一排书架子就非常方便，
东西一目了然，不会忘记，更不需要麻烦开关柜门查看东西。
但garage cabinets看着好看，整齐多了，而且还带锁。
请问这样布置好吗？一边是柜子，加个6' work bench, 上面放一条outlet strip (带
好几个outlet 插头），另一边是敞开的架子。outlet strip 不知怎么连，因为车库两
边都没有电插头。

了一半，于是决定一面墙搞 built-in，上面shelf, 下面cabinet(drawer).
知道built-in的价格奇贵，和kitchen cabinet 看齐，所以有了一些思想准备，几个电
话打下来，还是被shock了。
做了一些research
1。 HomeDepot， 和一个designer 谈了一个钟头，用最cheap的材料，要$3000, 但是
给我的design只有下面的cabinet，和上面一排shelf, 中间空着，非常难看。 而且因
为用的是modular的cabinet，所以宽度也不fit我的房间，还要加extender，更不好看
了。
2。 buy RTA system， 从 Conestoga 的online reseller， 第一个quote下来，$9000
, 还是有extender 的问题，Email了reseller, 得知价格主要是上面的书架，因为里里
外外都要finish，成本高，算下来四个shelf每个$800 @$%@#$%# |

于是开始了一系列project.
第一，换了granite counter top 3000刀
第二，换了drop in sink 和龙头 300刀
第三，换了back splash 1000刀
第四，换了柜子门和抽屉的把手 60刀
第五，换了抽油烟机神器一代 800刀
今天下午和老爸一起装了under cabinet， cabinet 和above cabinet light.
明后天再把玻璃柜门里的shelf也换成玻璃的。
原来有比较老式丑陋的under cabinet灯，于是就利用了原先的线路，
灯是买的ikea的一盒四个的圆形和长条led灯。很轻，所以就粘的。
整个难度比较低，就是在柜子上钻几个眼，然后接接电线。大概干了两个半
小时。效果不错。花费只有四套灯，一共是120刀。
厨房改造计划还剩下最后一个，找专业人员来给island 加一个end shelf 和放红酒
的格子。重新油漆一下。其他出轨是maple的，电器和五金是黑色的。所以island

那个抽屉都是可以随便打开的。老公周末挪了一下那个铁柜子，结果不知道怎么回事，
就锁起来了，如何各种办法都开不了。
大家知道怎么才能把这个大铁柜子（file cabinet）打开吗？

Contractor来做，但有一天看见了rustoleum cabinet transformations的电视广告，
感觉很神奇，突发奇想，想试试自己DIY的能力，于是告诉他把厨房的橱柜部分留给我
处理。他听完我的想法后哈哈大笑，我的回答很简单：一套Kit才80块钱，加上刷子什
么的，100块搞定。如果成了，我不光省了3，4000千，还能过把DIY的瘾。如果不成，
你再砸了装新的，我大不了成本增加这100块。整这些柜子比我想像的费时，但二个星

实际颜色可能和样品稍微不同。
结果，装完一看，靠，我太不满意了。这门的颜色，整个是深色的中间板 + 浅色框，照
片发给agent，agent也说支持我的要求，通知builder要求换所有柜门。
今天换好看了下，好多了。然后无聊的去另一个也是presale的比我们贵很多的房子看了
下，立马被吓出来了，我十分怀疑cabinet把我这儿换下来的柜门用到他们家了。要不，
我们家这活估计cabinet要亏本了。 |
