“To brush or not to brush, that is the question”。
俺觉得俺家那个扑通蛙，自己看数学书还是不行。。。我觉得她 totally lost，
后来都有点疲了。。。而且娃的计算能力也确实是不行。。。所以上峰不满意，
也不是空穴来风。。。
俺现在觉得，对于扑通蛙，没法全依赖他们自己。。。父母如果有可能，还是
最好帮着扑通蛙一起玩玩。。。当然，刷纯计算题也是另一个极端。。。所以
我打算让俺家扑通蛙慢慢开刷一些美国数学计算题入门（纯计算题就算了）。。。
俺帮她 review 那些题时，顺便也给她实战看看 “乱序计算入门” 的趣味在
哪里。。。如果蛙再读数学书，俺也打算定期给她 review。。。扑通蛙不能
expect too much 是真的。。。 |

or not to brush。。。
其实对于非严重偏科娃，我觉得最佳方案是：高一跨两级考一次，高二跨
一级再考一次，如果两次都没有到省/直辖市的 top 10，高三就算了不玩
了。。。就算是运气不行，那运气也是最大的实力，都已经玩了两次了
还没上 top 10 。。。 |

发帖数: 22634 | 4 不过另一方面，北滩的观点虽然激烈。。。但是激烈的观点更能辩明白是不是？
举个例子，在刷还是不刷的问题上，俺后来发现，俺是现实主义，北滩也是现实
主义。。。差别只是在具体实现手段上。。。所以俺的结论是：着重于该怎么刷，
才是正道。。。而不是莎士比亚那个理想主义者纠结的 to brush or not to brush,
that is the question。。。
另一个例子，在 visual modelling 是不是帮助培养数学抽象能力/代数表达
方面，马克老师跟俺的观点差别，其实主要是在 "naive visual modelling" vs
"thought-experiment-based visual modelling" 的差别。。。所以俺的
结论是：对于帮助培养数学抽象能力/代数表达方面，最重要是如何帮助从
naive thinking/representation 到 thought-experiment-based 量变到
质变，而不是去纠结莎士比亚那个数学盲纠结的 to visual or not to visual,

发帖数: 2294 | 5 老大马上3岁，现在在A preschool上了两周，第一周有一点点哭，第二周开始就比较适
应了，感觉她还挺喜欢那儿也喜欢两个老师。又接到B preschool的offer，今天去tour
了一下，感觉各有千秋，不知道该如何选择了。
A的优点：
1，play ground比较大，也比较自然，沙地，有树和树荫。
2，两个老师目前看对孩子不错，有孩子哭就抱，安慰。我家娃也喜欢她们，经常提起
她们，还和她们hug很多。
3，每天有app和email发一张孩子照片和daily report，关于一天大致干了什么，吃了
什么。
4，教室比较明亮。
A的缺点：
1，玩具比较差，不太全，没有玩具小汽车，lego也是少少可怜基本玩不起来，还有坏
的cash register, 小黑板什么，我感觉其实不用投入多少钱的东西，preschool却舍不
得投入。而且仅有的一个sensory box就是摆着看的，空的。教室里都没有提供brush，
water color和纸让小朋友自己画画，可能是放到小班了。

at all. After we cut bunch trees around the house, the condition of the
roof became much better.
if you want to dyi, just apply bleach or roof cleaner and let mother nature
do the rinsing for you. It took us at least 6 months to get rid off all of
the moss on the roof.
if you want fast result, you may brush the moss while it is wet, but make
sure presoak the affected area at least 7 days before you brush the area. |
