I have a question on simple Java web browser. After building a simple web
browser, the browser can retrieve a webpage from a server. Now I need to
calculate round trip time from the browser to the server by sending a 100-byte
message to the server and waiting for the server to send the message back to
the browser. Is there a way to do that using web browser? Currently the web
browser can only read from the server and not able to send message to the
server.

现在碰到一个问题无法解决：
有没有办法在browser第一次访问我的servlet的时候就知道该Browser是不是支持cookie?
由于我的servlet在输出页面的时候需要跟踪用户的session,
所以所有输出的URL都是用：
HttpServletResponse.encodeURL()
encode过的。
如果Browser不支持cookie的话，
那么该用户以后得到的所有setvlet LINK都将象这个样子：
http://host/servlet/myservlet;jsessionid=956BDE2350B3D6804965F328A3FBB63E
而如果Browser支持cookie的话，上述";jsessionid=956BDE2350B3D6804965F328A3FBB63E
"就不会出现在
每一个LINK中。
问题是在用户新打开一个browser窗口，第一次点击入口servlet页面时，
这时候会产生一个新的session
server端发现这个session ID不是来自于cook |

我用ShutApp 把UC browser杀掉，它马上自动
打开，永远杀不死，就像流氓软件或杀毒软件一样，永远在内存里运行。
别的没舍，就怕它时时刻刻监控我的手机，监控我的手机
在干什么，或把我所有的个人资料偷偷的偷走，否则没道理非要永远在内存上长驻运行。
按理说从Play store下载的app，Google应该检查过了吧？ |

Google announced today that it is releasing a version of its Google Chrome
for the iPhone and iPad. The company says it will go live on the App Store
later today. Macquarie analyst Ben Schacter predicted last month that Google
Chrome was coming to iOS.
While Chrome for iOS will include a number of key features, including
incognito mode and tab syncing across devices, the browser will still use

own extensions as well.
The reason why a page can look just fine on IE but look terrible
can be many.
1. HTML is not well formatted. In this case, the browser enters the
quirk mode. IE and Netscape (aka Mozilla) browsers handle it
differently. Particularly, when the document has DTD setting
as the header (like html 4.0, xhtml transitional, etc) some browsers
intentionally ignoring ill-formatted parts to aid the debugg |

我用Windows XP，default browser设为Firefox，
但是从其他应用程序启动browser的时候，经常不是启动firefox，而是IE/Maxthon，
比如我的MSN Messenger如果检测到有新的email，点击启动的是IE/Maxthon，
我的google gadget，news，我点击阅览，启动的也是IE/Maxthon，
我希望启动的是firefox，请问这个在哪里改？是在regedit里吗？怎么改？谢谢。 |

Another urgent servlet question: The browser(IE) is somehow
caching the servlet output. There are some hyperlinks on the
output page created by serlvets. The hyperlink calls the
servlet itself or some other servlets. Due to the browser
caching problem, if the hyperlink has been clicked before,
the browser won't actually call the corresponding servlet,but
just return the previous caching pages, even the pages are
stale.

什么的，在Napcator的window border右上角，从msconfig的startup里disable
这个东西，以后再起netcaptor就没有了。
另外再介绍一个比较花巧的browser，Katiesoft。http://www.katiesoft.com/
相信你会喜欢他。和Netcaptor一样，Katiesoft也是使用IE的内核，所以机子要
装有IE4以上的版本(都是吧)。他的特点如下，同样是多窗口浏览器，界面是十字
分隔的四个窗口，可以任意拖动大小，也可以随时切换四个窗口和一个窗口。不同
的是他的Snapshot的功能，即可是同时存下四个窗口浏览的内容甚至位置条的位置。
这比别的browser的bookmark的功能强大的多，尤其对于经常浏览多网页的人来说
非常方便，比如我的经验就是存下一个snapshot是两个download站，加astalavista，
加一个新闻站，或者你经常同时浏览的几个站点，不用你再一个一个的敲入。另外

就几乎再没用过IE，到现在已经7、8年了，一直是Firefox的忠实用户，寻找、使用各
种插件也成为了我一个小小的爱好，
Chrome大约两年期刚出来的时候，我也小小的兴奋了一下，赶紧下载了一个，但是发现
说不上很好用，还比不上Firefox，所以很快就删了，对Chrome也不再关心。前一阵子

的信用卡（1 Visa+1 AMEX)，从而得到100K AA miles的方法和信用影响。说起来，这
个跟前天那个AMEX platinum一样也是100K,不过没有那个天价年费，less hassle, 呵
呵。
看版上有人问，来分享一下吧。昨天中午申的，一个用的IE，一个用的firefox，全都
是填到submit那步，然后一起提交，间隔大概10~20sec，both instant approval。
今天早晨得到citi identity monitor的alert(付费的，minitor三大局)，发现一个
Experian的pull，来自citi。除非citi pull了另家，而且那家还没更新（同时发生几
率很小)，那么就应该是一个pull了：）。

And my point was IE is not standard compatible and your point is Safari is not
