美国朋友与我讨论时事。他问我，为何在有关中国的新闻中，往往叫中学生为intellectuals(
知识分子)。我解释说，这是两国情况不同所致。中国人所称的“知识分子”，与英美人所称
的intellectuals有质的不同，不能互划等号。中国所谓“知识分子”是指识字的、受过教育
的、懂得常识的。在解放之前，绝大部分群众未受起码教育，因此一个受过中等教育的人，
也可称得上一个“知识分子”。而在英美，几乎人人识字，所谓intellectuals就只指社会上
层有学术造诣的人士，如教授、学者、科学家、作家、编辑等。单是一个大学毕业生，并不
一定是个intellectual。这犹如中国人说一个人“有文化”，指的是此人识字(literate)，

自从买了smartphone,download了一个名著60部必看，话说这个library还真不错，确实
找到了一本我想看的书，已经在当当找到同样版本，打算节后下单。当然library里面
也有《飘》，无所事事的时候又看了下，发现这个版本真不错，坑爹的是译者的信息没
有，好些地方非常精彩，很是惊讶之前怎么没发现，但也可能是不同的年龄段能有不同
感悟吧。看电子书怎么也不如纸质书，因为纸质可以翻来翻去，而且可以highlight，
并且眼睛不累。
在当当上一找，找出N个《飘》的译本，就是没有这个电子书版的，也真是坑爹。借助
百度，才找到译者，戴侃&李野光.在线阅读的基本是这个版本，但是没有一个地方注明
译者，太不可思议了。在线的都是盗版？
找到相关的一篇文章，列了较为知名的五个译本。最早的傅东华本我是看过的，印象中

服事上帝，祂的面与名
经文: 「祂的仆人都要事奉祂，也要见祂的面。祂的名字必写在他们的额上。」（启示
录廿二︰3，4）
到那日在荣耀之地，这三种福份都将属于我们。
「祂的仆人都要事奉祂。」再也没有其他君王会来压迫我们，没有其他俗事来
烦扰我们。我们可以毫不困倦，毫无差错地事奉上帝︰这就是信徒所向往的天堂乐境，
能在永生的来世里，单单地属于上帝，并事奉祂，这是信徒最大的盼望。
「也要见祂的面。」这使得我们服事起来更加有劲，也是我们服事最直接的报
偿。我们都将要认识上帝，因我们要见祂的面。任何忠心的仆人都忠心的企盼，能见到
上帝的面。摩西不是说︰「求祢让我看到祢的面。」
「祂的名字必写在他们的额上。」因着信徒不断地仰望主，上帝的名就返照在
他们的额上。他们认识上帝，上帝也认识他们。这个秘密记号，有如由内外显的荣光，
是掩藏不住的，必要在众人中间显露出来。
