servers, the idea is good and it works, it has customers because not every

今天拒了Vyatta。主要原因不是钱少，当初HR就感觉很难打交道，拼命让我降低标准。
本来还以为是一个人的问题，working too hard on company's side。没料到Hiring
Manager更牛，offer的数字分文不涨，赌我会去。听朋友说过Brocade的文化不好，现
在倾向于相信了。不过这Vyatta刚被买了几个月，融合得也太快了吧。

survive by either OEM or SDN, then at certain point, somebody would buy it
. So, aquired by Brocade is really the best for this company. The reason is
simple, it sounds stupid, but it's very true, and I believe it. That is, the
market needs only 3 companies. All others are just 打酱油的。
As for Internet routers, I would call CRS, GSR, ASR 9K Internet routers. or
equivalents from Juniper.

box is designed to be carrier grade, it can hold 1M routes, does forwarding
in line rate, has solid BGP implementation, has decent MPLS implementation,

shrinking, especially since VMware and Cloud computing become more and more
popular. When I started to work at McData (second largest company in this
space), we have at least 4 public companies that had similar size of Brocade
now (which is the largest). Then, CSCO decided to enter this market. It
turns out it's much easier to sell SAN switches with entire network solution
as CSCO does than selling them alone.

Juniper, the one level up is called Staff Engineer.
Cisco Level 12 is one level up from 11. In Brocade, Juniper, the one level
up from Staff Engineer is called Senior Staff Engineer. Most of the time,
their "managers" holds Director title.
In real world there are not too many level 12 or Senior Staff positions. |
