12月20日星期六傍晚，纽约市长白思豪召开记者会。在他走过的时候，人群中的警察一
致转过身来面对墙壁，向市长表示抗议。这同样的一幕也出现在下午，当他到医院去看
望受害警察家属的时候，在场的警察也统统转过身去，冷落这位刚上任不久的市长。
就在这天下午3点左右，纽约的布鲁克林区里，有两位在警车内执行任务的警察猝不及
防地被一位黑人开枪打死。子弹击中了两人的头部，现场惨不忍睹。附近的警察立即追
赶过来，凶手没跑多远，便饮弹自尽。
被打死的两名警察，一名是有7年警龄的华裔刘文健（Liu Wenjian，音译），另一名是
拉美裔警员拉斐尔•拉莫斯（Raphael Ramos）。刘文健刚刚新婚两个月。拉莫斯
已婚，有一个13岁的儿子。
