beaches in the bay side for warmer, shallower and calmer water.I'd recommend
Crosby beach in Brewster, you can even dig some razor clams during low tide
if lucky. Also, there is a small and nice Museum of Natural History in
Brewster, you can check that out if time allows. Remember to get parking
sticker for Brewster's beaches at its town hall(office), otherwise you'll
get ticketed.

least 75%. It automatically takes out most the stuff that cant be ordered
but some stuff gets through like items that are available for store pick up
but are OOS everywhere. Most of it is clothes and shoes , which may not be
your sizes. Weed through it you might find a deal. I completely skip the

以前我就说过，Google自从启用自己的业余水准的地图公司以后，不断在美国东部地区
搞出低级笑话。为什么我不说西海岸呢？因为据说很多西海岸的同学对Google满意得不
得了，我也没有去过西部，所以就不提了。
2009年的时候，Google Map把Brooklyn Bridge的一个ramp给去掉了，所以如果一个人
生地不熟的恐怖分子想上大桥自杀袭击的话，可能要费事多走不少路。可能是很多人生
地不熟的普通百姓也找不到北，后来Google Map又把这个ramp放回来了。
但是如果你在纽约的1st Ave或者2nd Ave的话，想放炸弹需要Google Street View踩点
，那么你就惨了，因为在Map上显示的Street View路线和Google标注的街名是对不上的

大风起兮云飞扬, 威加海内兮归故乡，安得猛士兮守四方！
不知为何老想这几句词， 其实和hurricane 沾不上边的
MA风吹不到， 雨淋不着，地震也躲着。 真的是老天爷的眷顾， MA 这块风水宝地上发
脾气次数有史以来屈指可数。 家家户户的house 保险低的可怜， 过个大风下场大雨跟
中个奖差不多。 终于盼系星星， 盼月亮， 盼来了大自然破坏力最大的飓风老人家。
机会难得， 一定好好欣赏天气陛下的威颜。听广播， 看电视， 查path，看看到底啥
时候能到咱这疙瘩， 兴奋啊， 哈哈

《走近耶鲁》是耶鲁东亚系苏炜教授2009年出版的文集。摘抄一些八卦轶闻和喜欢的文

一
“耶鲁精神”是张扬学术个体的自主及其自由发挥的精神。越战期间，政府禁止各学校
给反战学生颁发奖学金。哈佛、普林斯顿等大学都不敢违命，唯独耶鲁坚决抗命，特立
独行，执意遵循以申请者的学术成绩为评估唯一标准的原则，不惜以丢掉联邦政府一大
笔资助而陷入经济困境为代价。“最终一般社会上的人士将会了解：只有在学校拥有全
部的自治权利、每个教师及学者皆有研究自由的条件下，整个社会才会有完全的自由与
平等；而这正是耶鲁的真正完整精神所在。”这是金曼·布鲁斯特校长（Kingman
Brewster）当年说过的一段广被传扬的话，他被全美知识分子和大学校长们视为“英雄”
