Don't worry -- we're not talking bursting-through-your-skull growth. Running
stimulates the creation of new nerve cells and blood vessels within the
brain, an organ that tends to shrink as a person ages. Also, studies have
shown that running may help increase the volume of the midbrain (which
controls vision and hearing) and the hippocampus (which is linked to memory

I have 2 questions.
"As we know, the blue brain team has done a great job in reverse engineering
the cortex column on cellular level, and
once before, you said that, in future, you would get this project into
molecular level. Have you started this phrase right
now? And what would you do to molecular level and to combine these different
levels, concerning there would be more
higher levels, into a whole "blue brain"?"
"What is the relationship between blue brain project and human brain project

Book Description
Addiction destroys lives. In The Addicted Brain, a leading neuroscientist
explains how and why this happens-and presents advances in treatment and
prevention. Using breathtaking brain imagery and other research, Michael
Kuhar, Ph.D., shows the powerful, long-term brain changes that drugs can
cause, revealing why it can be so difficult for addicts to escape their grip.
In plain English, Kuhar describes why some people are far more susceptible
to addiction than others. He illumina...

John Medina。书:
Brain Rules:12 principles for surviving and thriving at work, home and
school

stress and sleep

If Only We All Had (Liberal) Brains, We'd All Believe In Man-Made Global
Warming
By Marc Morano
March 30, 2012
A whole slew of new “research” on conservatives’ and global warming
skeptics’ “brains” has hit the academic circuit.
First off, environment and sociology Prof. Kari Norgaard’s new study claims
skeptics of man-made global warming fears should be “treated” for their
skepticism. The study compares skepticism to man-made climate fears to the
struggle against racism and slavery.
Prof. Norgaa...
