The first time for me to know he is a successful tournament player.
Benyamine is primarily a cash-game player, but due to comments from his
friends, he started playing tournaments more regularly during the 2008 World
Series of Poker[5]. He has made four WSOP final tables, three of which were
in 2008, as well as his one bracelet.

in.
no live casino will host an MTT with $26, $55 or $100 buy-in for thousands
of players, AND every hour every day. even big polular live events like WPT
went broke (had to sell to partygambling recently) since they couldn't make
enough profits.
these small online tournaments can quickly promote some intelligent "kids"
to become big. in the old days, even a WSOP bracelet winner might only get,
say, $300K, but nowadays, |

of players if not fewer, so phil's 11 bracelets are still big achievements
but not really that big any more. if you trace the list of best players of
200X now, it changes every year with most new faces, and very rarely you'll
see old guns. |

Not sure how worthy to anyone except himself or museum.
It is really normal that someone take a break even lifetime after getting

there're "more" players now but still only a tiny pool. most players there
are old guns who got tired after playing holdem for decades. and those draw
games exist since ancient time, never become mainstream, and i doubt they'll
ever.
but, if you want to get a WSOP bracelet, draw games might be the best shot
with only hundreds of players in those events, hehe. |

No cap 2-5 NL, live game at a Vegas casino.
It was like 6am in the morning, the table was quite active and super
deep. Brian Rast, the guy who won two bracelets this year, came from a broke
high stake game, sitting down with at least 50k. There was another very
loose guy sitting down with over 10K. With such deep stack, everybody played
quite loose preflop .

It is a tourney hand against genius28- an online superstar who used to
play the biggest game on ps/ftp, but like to challenge the best like PI/
durrrr/phild G etc and had bad BR management. he won a bracelet last year
though.

10NL and that pot was around 5k$. There were some argument with the hand
back then and the dealer had to call the floor over and took quite a while
for a decision. It delayed dealer making more tips. Also, the dealer was
on my side. Do not feel bad though. I saw with my own eyes that Brian
Rast(the guy who won two WSOP bracelet last year) not tip a single $ when

发帖数: 1128 | 19 3000筹码不多, 刚好. 弄个2000那前面就只能看谁运气好谁SHOVE能赢了.
BREAK 5 分钟完全可行,以前是没必要,因为一般都是不到20人参加, 但现在人数是翻倍
, 以后还很可能会更多, 所以FT前BREAK 5分钟是必要的.挺不到FT的人是不需要BREAK,
但那9个到FT的人是需要脑部休息一下才能更好的发挥.
WSOP MAIN EVENT也是分开的,没有说一块算最后给个bracelet. 让大家学习PLO是好想
法,但两个比赛确定在同一时间, 这不是CASH GAME,我认为TOURNAMENT里认真观察每一
个对手还是需要很专心的,尤其是ONLINE这种快速比赛,感觉容不得分心, 所以如果两个
同时玩的话很影响效果. 我本来也想注册来玩玩, 但想想还是算了.
这都是我的观点.听听大家的看法再做调整. |

已经是level 3了大概，居然还没找到位置，和floor man不停地交流。然后我走过一个
桌子，一个sam大叔(tom dwan对面那个，6 wsop bracelet winner)对着大家说：this
seat is for tom dwan, he hasn't showed up yet. but he got more chips than me.

It's not exactly my first time, as I played twice at TI, Las Vegas during a
crazy road trip last year. They only have 5 or 6 tables.
Played 100NL (2&3) for about 4/5 hours. Two big fishes (A&B) at the table (
playing crappy hands and keeping calling & calling). However, I was card
dead most of the time. There's not much I could do other than seeing other

I am aware of that strategy. But that makes no sense online.
Everyday there are hundreds of tourneys. We just grinding and are not
competing for bracelets. Why do we want to race for a bigger stack, as the
chips have diminishing value? The best scenario is -- you keep steal/
restealing without much allin confrontations. This way you maintain a
healthy 20BB stack size and survive as long as possible while minimizing
your risk. |

式不对吧……）
第一本是ed miller 的《Professional No-Limit Hold 'em: Volume I》。 应该说这
本书的出发点还是很有意思的。作者试图用stack to pot ratio（SPR）来处理poker当
中的各种可能的situation。这是这本书的特点，也是这本书没什么用的原因……现实
的情况比简单的SPR复杂的多，感兴趣的可以看Bill Chen的《The Mathematics of
Poker》。另外让我比较无语的是很多和stack size有关的interesting and
fundamentally important的concepts在这本号称专讲stack size的书里面居然完全没
有涉及。这个就是不能容忍的了。比如说100bb effective stack size， 为什么3bb
open 比5bb 或者2bb open要好。为什么3bet size是一般是10bb，4bet size一般是

in a hoodie整天在那刷NLH（PLO是下一个）但是老一辈人的postflop game比如stud和
O8，是年轻人一时半会学不来的。不过这两年英国出了个Matthew Ashton，今年目前已
经3FT了，都是stud/stud8/O8...很少见有young gun打stud这么强的 |
