并受迫害为名申请难民。难民法官经过聆讯，发现他对法轮功缺少最基本的了解，而且
也不能提供受迫害证据，所以拒绝其申请。其后，钟某上诉至联邦法院要求司法覆核，
但是再遭驳回。
据联邦法院提供的案情，钟某声称他是在2012年10月由于生意受挫、失眠而开始在朋友
的带领下修练法轮功的。在2014年1月12日，他得知朋友和一帮“同修”被警方逮捕，
感到自己的人生安全受到威胁，于是在叔叔安排下，于三天后携全家持合法护照和签证
逃往美国。在抵达美国三天后，他们全家偷渡进入加拿大，住在多伦多。
在2014年2月，钟某全家以“修炼法轮功并遭警方追捕”为由申请加拿大难民。难民法
庭(The Refugee Protection Division ，RPD)则于当年10月开始审理他的案子。其间
，法官发现钟某甚至不了解法轮功的基本常识，例如法轮功何时创建、辨认领导人(
identifying the leader)、他现在在什么地方，以及中国政府为何加以禁止等等。

两位老师近日搬家辞职，学校开了个欢送会。学生们送了两只水晶苹果——我登时想起
前两天看的美国老师写中国教育的书《Educating Young Giants》，封面上赫然有只红
苹果：
当时只想到苹果电脑，不知道苹果象征教育，是美国人送给老师的经典礼物。
为什么苹果会和老师连在一起？美国学生面面相觑，说“An apple a day keeps the
doctor away”，是不是因为苹果天天吃，像老师一样每天给我们输送营养？可照这个
俗语来说，苹果更应该代表的是医生。上网查到苹果为师的起源不一：
最普遍的说法是从前老师的待遇低，许多农民家长常送苹果以表谢意，因为苹果是地里
最常见的农作物。这个习俗起源于16世纪，在美国、丹麦、瑞典流行——奇怪，为什么
其他国家没有？
