非常的好，就想买下来，回去把JBL L880卖掉
但是呢，取了钱回来后，让他放惠威试音碟，发现高音非常harsh and bright，就问他
，他说他喜欢把高频EQ调到最高，可以用 pure direct模式来(他的receiver Pioneer
Elite 94，先锋最高端的)，但是听下来觉得低音没有 L880好，可能是由于NHT 2.5i
的低音在侧面，所以感觉有boomy，而且不如L880下潜深(虽然2.5i号称29Hz)，力度也
不够(L880的声压很大，punchy bass)。
可能JBL音箱的特点是靠近监听的方向(JBL的监听音箱曾经是最好的)，所以现在再听其
它的音箱，对harsh的高音非常敏感，觉得刺耳，这个NHT也不例外。
我唯一不满意L880的地方，也就是一直想换掉它的地方，就是中音，也就是是人声部分
。一个4存的中音，和5存，6存的中音；喇叭比起来感觉有一定的差距，尤其是当L880
低频强劲的时候，自然会影响中音的感觉，让你听歌有时候觉得音乐是主
角，而不是人声 |

boomy any more. overall very lean sound. the crossover frequency that wasn't
there before not is clear present.
I took the chance to get rid of all the quick connects too. now everything
is soldered. feels good. |

And I do think PL30 is the better one in the price range. Maybe it is so-called sound signature thing and now I start to believe that phones are very personol. I am using double flange tips which you can have from ebay. It is better then original one. |

perhaps it is useful in the future. Think about the price of them, just
as same as the Pl30(do you mean Genuine Sound Magic PL30)? I feel it is
good to use as a gift as dash2000 did.

and TV and TV stand look like before I can give any sensible advice. a good
center speaker is designed with reduced baffle step compensation so that the
bass won't be boomy with early reflections. the best general location for a
center speaker is on top of TV with the baffle flush with the screen (you
will need a specific stand for the center). but no matter what, don't put a
speaker in a cave like space. It will throw the |

and very boomy.. they may be okay when used with a receiver in a surround
sound setup for watching movies.
but they are not really suited for critical 2-channel listenings. |

still managed to shipped it outand got it this morning, had been listening
it all day.
Ordered DT880 after cancelling HD 598, got it this evening.
I am using FIIO E10 for both.
HD 598's mid range sounds really sweet but bass is boomy. DT880 has a very
natural, controlled bass but mid range seems a bit recessed than HD 598.
On E10, I have to open the volume all the way for dt 880, is this the reason

What I am trying to say is in mid range, HD 598 is sweeter than DT 880. But
at Bass, HD 598's bass starts to get boomy, while HD 880 is still very
natural and controlled. |

will sound boomy and muddy in a normal house/room.you are better off with
near field studio monitors instead of less clean and clear stage monitors.
stage monitor has its own pro that it has its long throw and loudness as
well rugged and less prone to transportation. |

乐器的EQ和音响的侧重点不一样。我下面都是说乐器的EQ。
要理解这个EQ，可以从了解中频(mid)开始。我们说的中频大概是指500-2kHz的频段。
中频在哪，强度多大，是决定一个音色的主要特征。对比一下几种吉他的音色和中频特
点：
Stratocaster：声音清脆，有一种风中银玲的音响效果。其原因是它能量在3,4kHz的地
方有一个凸起。
Telecaster：很多人觉得它的音色比Strat还要亮，其实它的bump在1，2kHz左右。那是
电琴最具有穿透力的频段。不加效果情况下tele大概是声音穿透力最强的。
Les paul：音色特点是“肥”，象男中音。它的凸起在600-800Hz。
Acoustic vs electric：电琴之所以穿透力强就是因为中频多。摆弄一下木琴上的中频
你会发现，把它提升的时候木琴听起来就更像电琴，把它消减就更象木琴。实际应用的
意义是：消减中频的琴弹唱不会抢歌声的地位，听起来更有氛围感。增强中频的琴在
solo的时候会有更好的穿透力。
所以结论就是多玩玩中频的控制。那低频和高频又什么用呢。简单起见，你可以把低频
