若干年前我去業餘芭蕾舞班湊熱鬧時，認識一位中年非裔大哥。他是公立高中體育教師
，專教學生游泳，每週教五個上午，下午三點就放學，於是，他一周七個下午都在此芭
蕾舞校上課練習。老婆是某樂團行政總監。兩個女兒都讀中學，都在業餘芭蕾舞校學舞
。他雖然人到中年，壯得像頭牛，厚胸，粗腿，翹臀，平腹，完全沒有肥肉。什麽劈叉
踢腿旋轉樣樣會。他說他已經53歲，貌似40歲，一流身材。我問他：“太座有沒有誇獎
你身材好，nice body ?”他笑著說：“年輕的時候有，現在她不說了。”
在該校還認識一位白人大姐，也是53歲，雖然臉上有些皺紋，頭上有些白髮，但是身材
奇佳，挺胸翹臀細腰美腿。對人也很和藹。她說，他老公是個會計，她是個簿記員(
bookkeeper)，幫老公做賬。從小就喜歡芭蕾，所以，業餘常來芭蕾舞學校練舞。很多
年輕女孩還沒有她這樣的好身材。

的到想去当兵的兄弟。
那阵子打伊拉克正凶，陆军我也不想去了，很多combat support都要被deploy到中东.
去给美帝金融大款当炮灰我没兴趣。很多工作虽说没有direct combat,但是行军途中碰
到个IED或者被敌对武装袭击然后绑架砍头，想想就恐怖。
空军其实最舒服，air force,被其他兵团叫 chair force。 但是，去的人特别多，好
坑基本没有。recruiter让我去security force.就等于是空军自己的地面武装保卫。我
没兴趣。
海军的话，enlist能和所谓金融扯上边的就只有bookkeeper一类的工作。这种工作初中
学历然后读一星期的quick book就能胜任。对你以后退役能有啥帮助？高级一点的
controller或者accounting的工作都是外包给civilian。
最早我是想去搞网络安全或者情报翻译的兵种。出来还能转个硅工或者同声传译。

body builder and fitness trainer. She is one of my facebook friends, and i
even can't remember her by looking at her recent picture.
Hoho, i am that kind of person so bad at sport, and my body fat is high i guess. and our school is not great to train studends into sport nither. I think she has the most special career among the rest of us, 60% of us became Bookkeeper/Accountants. Haha. |

take for much except playing good and avoid big loss through better bankroll
management.

be honest, i believe you're way ahead than most live players already. yeah,
it's not "big" money but that may be the reality of live poker, the volume
is not enough to make a decent income, the edge is often over estimated and
luck is under estimated.
in the end, i don't believe an amateur player can put in 700 hours a year as
MM suggested, that's like you almost have to play both sat/sun, each day 7

associate degree in Accounting fits your goal.
But if you want to be a CPA, you must have 4 to 5 years of undergraduate
education or a master degree in accounting (depends on your state
requirement) if i remember correctly. You can always start up with the Ass.
degree in community college then transfer the credits to the regular 4-years
univesity, so it can save you some money.

Or alternatively I can pay through personal check and you can cash the check
in my presence at any citizens bank...This way I can have some paper trail

辞职前我已经做了一段海外代购，每天在各个网站找deal挣buffet钱。3个月后发现这
种低技术含量的操作可以外包（找护士干），自己收货打包就行，过了一个月的探索，
认为可以做drop ship, 连打包时间也省了，至此荣升成“神医”；一开始还自己追包
裹，可是当时还在上班，时间不够，索性提拔了一个细心的护士做各种bookkeeping和
追踪包裹。空闲时间多了，脑袋里想的都是我不可能一辈子做神医，发货利润越来越低
，资金占用越来越大(和国人做生意拖欠很厉害)，还经常在海关的淫威下给海关送礼（
罚没）。经过思考开始发掘非华人顾客，很快重点关照非华人批发商。这些客商都是先
款后货，风险外嫁了，占自己资金也少了。然后我的老毛病继续发作：整天收罗这些品
牌的尾货打折货，找货成本很高，门槛倒是挺低，模式没法持久。经过思考后努力和各
种批发商套近乎，发掘非消费品的出口。经过半年左右的探索，发掘出一种工业耗材，
直接从美国厂商出口，利润率很高而且能持续，但(量小所以总利润低。恰好绿卡拿到

严格来讲， 如果没有前年新年的那次Speed Dating， 他们相遇的机会几乎等于零。
男的做IT， 公司在San Diego， 女的做bookkeeping， 公司在Roland heights， 工作
没有一点交集， 两人的空间距离是167 miles。
昨天下午， 在Gale和Negelese交口的那个大华超市mall里面， 我见到了这对夫妇。
他们要请我去旁边的台湾冷饮店里喝冷饮， 我委婉地拒绝了。我有许多问题， 有些比
较直接， 不希望啜饮妨碍了思路， 尽管人们在餐桌边啜饮会使人放松和随和。男的叫
Mike，戴着眼镜， 镜片后面的眼睛不大， 近视的程度应不会很深， 如果做个镭射手
术， 眼镜摘掉， 应该是个帅哥， 因为他的鼻梁很长很直， 是中国古代美男子和君子
所必须具备的悬胆鼻， 没这种鼻子的中国男人绝不能称帅， 今天我们开口闭口的帅哥
美女， 缺少气质也就算了， 按五官比例分析， 许多人根本比例不当， 也不知现今的
人都是什么眼神 |

关于对会计师的成见，逻辑是这样的：
一人的工作方式和环境会影响其mentality，作bookkeeping的，不可能innovative/
thinking outside the box
那些做的好的，基本上都是 tax/estate attorney 和 tax/financial consultant. |

会把我的大部分业务分出来给另外一个业绩不好的业务员，让他有活干。我只做一小点
业务，然后主要的职位变成ACCOUNTING，做些BOOKKEEPER， RECEIVABLE，PAYROLL啥
的。
其实我不是很喜欢主要做业务，做点财务的感觉不错，现在感觉这个好坏不好说：
1.一切重头学，在公司做了一年多的业务了，上手了；现在突然间要去做财务，不知道
这井有多深，也没个底。
2.做好了，当然是好事，学到东西又做了自己喜欢做的事；做不好，被炒.....有点冤
哎，头有点大今天。
3.自己信心不大，财务的活从来没做过，以前学校的课也上得糊里糊涂的，不知道能不
能喜欢或者适应这活。 |

C++和JAVA的天生的特性决定了, C++再快也没有C快. JAVA再快也没有C++快. 语言的可
管理性和性能永远都是一种折衷.
JAVA和C++的速度差异在不同的问题时有不同的结果. 有时可能差几倍, 有时也可能差
上百倍. 简单举例, C++程序直接对MEMORY操作, 而JAVA的所有MEMORY操作正常情况下
需要经过JVM, 如tracking, bookkeeping etc. 这些MEMORY管理是JAVA的优点, 但同时
也带来了速度的降低. 另外, method在JAVA中缺省是VIRTUAL的, method invoke 需要
JVM的lookup, 而C++的缺省method是code 直接的jump. C++在这一点上要快于JAVA很多
倍.
C++和JAVA有不同的适用情况, 那一种语言好, 取决于具体的case.

Read it through, no "release()" needed.
The smart ptr example shows how it can be done, do not take it literally.
Automatic resource management of course can be done. This is not rocket
science,
see Java. But it is at the cost of performance: for example, with overloaded
assignment operator a single ptr assignment instruction is now replaced with
several bookkeeping instructions, which means it is now several times slower.
