蓝草音乐（Bluegrass）给人感觉精致，纯正，干净，多有合声，节奏较快，所以有时
乐曲很短。还有乐器常用小提请，班卓琴， 曼陀铃，口琴等。 早期的基本是抵制电声
乐器的。

看见屋子在缓缓的山坡上排着，街对面，一颗椰子树迎风立着，纤巧秀丽，背景里，是
diamond head山和满天繁星。凉风吹过来，忽然想起，已经很久，没有在夜晚出来了，
朋友电话来，约着去看一个的music performance，于是，又见夏威夷久违的夜晚。朋
友说音乐是bluegrass，出门前google一下，原来是美国folk music的一种。
夜色里跟着朋友往前走，纳闷起来，不是听音乐吗，来民居干吗？朋友说，别急，进去
就知道了。然后终于在一屋停下，上得楼梯，入得门去。。。原来别有洞天。尖顶的客
厅被装饰成一个舞台，屋顶高低起伏，墙上是夏威夷的民俗画。乐队的位置被安排在客
厅中间，面对的，是远山前玻璃窗下的几盏桌椅，像是能容二、三十人的样子。乐队和
听众，仅一步之遥。
黄黄的灯光洒下来，照在乐队后面木制的屏风上，客人还不是很多，轻轻地在聊着天。
朋友给我讲起着屋主人的经历来。原来，这慈眉善目的老太太，几十年前是美国共产党
的成员，后来被美国政府追捕，在东欧那些共产党国家的帮助下，逃到了东欧。 |

尤其是Celtic music。Bluegrass发祥地在Appalachian山中，基本上是hillbilly
的创造，不同于Blues的African American背景。虽然同是出于穷困潦倒人群之
手，Bluegrass风格大不同于Blues的melancholy，只要一份热闹——诚如Yoyo
所说。Yoyo当年在New Orleans如果遇上几位白大叔在街头演奏Bluegrass，大

Kentucky Bluegrass (KBG) is incorrect. KBG could have ligule as well, but
it is short and like a collar which is kind of squared, while the Poa Annua'
s ligule is longer and pointed. Poa Annua is generally light green in color
(easy to spot) and has thin and weak stems.

旗鼓介绍过，想听人多说说，结果大多数人不知道。光知道它速度快，乐器都传统，
banjo曼陀罗提琴口琴等，不用电子乐器。歌词好像大多叙事吧？音乐感觉很纯正干净
。断背山的音乐好像是bluegrass，冷山也是吗？乡村里面不叙事的有哪些？你有兴致
的话要不要单独开帖说说乡村或bluegrass呀。我的youtube放不出音乐来，明儿再听你

另外我观察了所在小区的另外一家补种的新草，也在夏天光荣牺牲了。
我是在东西向的东侧补种（Kentucky BlueGrass）。小区另外一家则是在东西向的西侧
补种新草（草种不详）。新草都已经度过发芽阶段，但就是无法在高温下成长。
上月中旬继续尝试大面积补种新草，新草已经发芽，正在观察其成长。
试种了两个品牌的草种（同样品种【Kentucky BlueGrass】，但不同品牌）：Scotts和
Pennington。实验表明：Pennington的草种发芽明显快于Scotts。 |

俺家有tall fescue, fine fescue, and bluegrass.很好认的。tall fescue长得直挺
挺，不经常割的话，很快长很高。fine fescue毛茸茸的，缺水天热就变枯黄。
bluegrass相对低矮，向四周串根，只要把杂草抑制住就可以自己补草一样。 |

cave national park,还有在owensboro的bluegrass music museum,如果你对bluegrass

发帖数: 395 | 25 比较传统而且好看的草自然是 Kentucky bluegrass，颜色深而且厚实，缺点是用水多
，而且是用很多水灌溉才能好看。一般在 home depot 买的 sod 也都是这种草。
要是对美观不是很在意的话，可以种Fescue 或者 Ryegrass。不过这些一般都要买种子
自己种。
除非你很内行，要想有好的草坪，还是买 sod 好了，所以只有Kentucky bluegrass 一
种选择 |

Kentucky bluegrass, except it has a lighter shade of green, shallower roots,
and less drought resistance. It dies off when the weather gets hot, leaving
big empty patches in your lawn. Keep it out by spreading a crabgrass
preventer in late summer, before seeds can sprout in the fall. |

（bluegrass,clover,chickweeds,oxalis).我已经跟这帮无良的家伙斗争了十几年。战
果那是惨不忍睹。
bluegrass，chickweed,oxalis都是在9，10月份发芽，如果你在冬天到来之前不做
Preemergence Control。漫长的冬天让它们的根系发育得强壮无比，到四五月份开花时
你就头大了。更重要的是，如果你有一个懒邻居，干啥都是白费劲。
如果你真得想控制这些杂草，我的经验是在每年9月15日前后必需施一次weed control
，在重灾区可以考虑10月底加试一次。然后就是在立春之前不断的拔, 真的没有其它好
办法。 |

Nitrogen-向上长，长叶
P-向横长，分支
K-向下长，长根
如果16-4-8， 16%的氮， 六磅的肥是1磅的氮，6 lbsx16%=0.96 lb. of Nitrogen，5
磅氮需要30磅的肥.
有机肥的有效成分低， 缓慢释放，不会烧死草地。价高， 要用很多量。
合成的化肥， 有效成分%高， 便宜， 可能会烧死草。肥是从根子/土壤吸收的， 如果
残留在叶子上， 草叶子会变盐咸菜。
算肥料， 都是面积来算。需要知道自己的草地面积。

San Diego聖地牙哥這個城市，在距離LA南方約二小時車程的位置，如果住南
一些，一個多小時就會到，所以是一個蠻方便去玩的地方，當天就可以來回沒問
題，一般想到這個城市，最有名的就是San Diego是美國Biotech生化科技產業
最集中的一個中心，在旅遊上Zoo動物園和Sea World海洋世界也極為著名，這
個城市本身也非常值得一遊。從LA過去，走5號往南，在途中還有一個Outlets，
剛好可以休息一下，就是Carlsbad Premium Outlets，在Palomar Airport Rd下往
北就會看到，隔壁是The Flower Fields，有荷蘭風車和美麗的花田，每年春季開
花時就會開放，Early March through early May。1887年落成的Neimans Restaurant
是維多利亞風格古建築，現改名為Ocean House是Carlsbad著名的懷舊餐館。

一个月多前领导制定了今冬要完成把后院靠近房子的菜地搬到花盆里的计划—这样可以
解决撒放防白蚁的剧毒和光大领导种菜爱好的矛盾. 领导认为后院靠近房子的这块地最
适合种菜.好吧,文官动动嘴,我这个”武官”可跑断腿了.各位,你们说花盆里种菜,这花
盆能小吗?想买大的花盆,谈何容易,在我这个无名小城能找到内径18英寸的就不错了,还
是塑料的.前两年我曾经用3英寸乘5英寸的木料做成八角的,内径2英尺的花盆(见附照),
但领导说了,这个花盆虽好,但木料是经过砒礵处理的,种菜不安全,吃了这样的菜等于自
杀—太骇人听闻了.思前想后,最后决定用水泥做. 水泥本身太重,天冷又不适合在外面
