BLOCKBUSTER当然卖旧游戏，但我还没见过没壳没皮的旧游戏卖，更何况这俩游戏都是

我觉得最可惜的是从前一家租影碟的店，靠着湖边。电影按导演分类摆放的，很老到很
新的片子都有。
结果后来发现学校图书馆可以免费借DVD，很久没去，发现他家换成了BLOCKBUSTER。再
后来，BLOCKBUSTER也倒了。
还有最近的一家BARN&NOBLE也关门了。从前一个人的时候，周末常去他家坐在书架尽头
看书，一耗就是几个小时，但是除了打折的，买的很少，唉，AMAZON啊。 |

1，租来之后，立刻就能看，不用像Neflix那样等好多天
2，今天租，明天还，好比一夜情，不用像Neflix那样必须按月包养，很适合我这种只
是偶尔租碟的。
3，网点多，通常在超市里面，租碟还碟都很方便，不像Blockbuster，必须专门去一趟
，尤其是还碟
的时候。
4，一美元（加税$1.09）一晚，我觉得价钱挺公道的。Blockbuster如果不包月的话，
一晚至少
$3.99
但是。。。
很不明白的是，为什么redbox里的电影以烂片为主，值得看的片子少之又少？？非常遗
憾中。 |

It is the novel of DUNE that is a novel of an era. I'd bet that
it is far more important to the history of SF novels than to the
history of games.
There's a blockbuster movie based on this book recently. Usually
a blockbuster movie can drastically promote the original book.

咬咬牙挺过来了把Blockbuster弄到破产为止。DVD达到巅峰的时候没有守成，而是自己
不看好前景率先搞streaming，之后砸过亿去做原创，每个动作都比竞争对手提前2-3年
。抢起人来舍得花钱，反正大头给好莱坞，雇人是小钱，你麻也抢不过。从Vision到执

未来几年人员队伍淘汰会很残酷，如果没有在合适的时间坐在合适的位置上，不管你潜
力多大都难逃劫难。
事后诸葛亮的看，NIH经费倍增引起了很多问题。但以当时的角度来看，这个政策其实
相当有合理性。
当时美国财政有盈余，而且经济趋势很好，兴许盈余能继续扩大，完全支持的起NIH经
费一定程度的增加。
当时美国制药业年新药上市很多，且相当一部分都是blockbuster，盈利能力很强，如
果继续延续趋势，研发收入应该导致巨额回报
当时中国已经开始量产生物民工，人员也够用。
再加上网络增长点早晚得用完， 生物技术正好是一个新的增长点，看上去挺好的。
可是等政策执行完了才发现：
美国财政盈余迅速变成赤字，赤字飙升到现在1年1T的水平。
尽管研发投入不断增加，但研发成本上涨更快。新药上市数量却不断下降，在前几年触
底了，仅仅是九十年代中期的一半，后来靠在中国印度研发降低成本，才重新恢复性的

generate blockbuster if including anti hyperglycemia. If you look at the
top 200 brand and 200 generic drug sales, and top 300 prescription, you will
get a clue.
1st class is cardiovascular, 2nd is CNS, so far. Even a BPH one is easier to
crack 1B than an oncology one.

趋势，也符合经济学原理：
1。大药厂规模大了以后，感觉就象国营企业，每个人都只是个巨大机器上可有可无的
螺丝钉，这本身就极大地抑制了人的责任感和创造性。人的本性决定了真正smart的人
，在现在VC很成熟的情况下，如果真的有好的idea，会自己出来搞startup，搞对了，
几年就可以退休，为啥要在大公司慢慢混？
2。传统的blockbuster领域，现在越来越饱和，FDA要求越来越高，development，
clinical成本越来越高，现在新药的开发都在向难度更高，风险更高，patient pool越
来越小的领域发展，传统的大药厂铺开一大摊，收获几个blockbuster就能吃饱的模式
，前期成本投入已经超过收获的预期。继续搞下去，只会越来越糟糕，市场也不认同。
这种例子太多，就不用举了。
3。身在这个行业的人，基本都不会否认，中小的biotech，单位成本更低，效率更高，
浪费更少，决策更灵活，这种management上的优势，是规模决定的，大公司再怎么改，

么网里），这最终会导致商业模式优势的公司最终一家独大，占领某类终端需求，而其
他同业小公司走上不归路。美国（如myspace, blockbuster）中国(如MSN中国,易趣中
国，一拍网)皆是如此。在我看来，当当和youku 5年以后都是被历史遗忘的，就像
blockbuster一样。youku和土豆不被腾讯、新浪、pptv搞死，能活下来一家就不错了。
