日公布了首届获奖者名单。著名科普专家、“打假斗士”方舟子（本名方是民）和英国
伦敦大学国王学院心理医学教授西蒙·威斯利（Simon Wessely）获此殊荣。
该奖是为纪念《自然》前主编约翰· 马多克斯，由《自然》杂志和英国慈善组织“科
学智识”（Sense About Science）共同发起。奖项旨在表彰那些在公众利益中，即使
面临困难或反对，仍然提倡有力的科学和证据的人士。本年度获奖者奖金为2000英镑。
评审小组称赞方舟子在揭露医学门诊使用未经验证的医学疗法，并引导更多读者意识到
寻找真相重要性的过程中，勇敢和坚定地面对一些生命威胁。
西蒙·威斯利则因在慢性疲劳综合症和海湾战争综合症宣传方面所表现出的勇气，以及

Now it is my turn,
Around the intersection of Blakemore and Natchez trace in vandy, too many
cars lost traction there. Remember one rule, don't push the gas pedal when
the tires start to slip. It will ruin the automatic transmission. There was
a strong burnt smell. Apply the brake to completely stop the car, then
change the gear to 1st gear or reverse to rock your car out!
By the way, my $2k Jeep performed flawlessly in the snow. Best used car I
ever purchased. |

already, 3rd spacing. If unstable, hypotensive, consider IV albumin rather
than NS. Can do salt-poor 12.5gm BID for a few days (not much data supports
use past albumin levels of 3.0); useful in renal failure to reperfuse
kidneys. Esp if concern for hepatorenal syndrome, can start albumin. If
bolus fluids, do so gently.

Blakemore tube?
if you mean that scissors are kept near patient at all times in case
balloons migrate superiorly and cause respiratory obstruction in non
intubated patients. The whole tube can be cut and removed, remembering to
grasp the tube between the patient and scissors. |
