+2 through front 9, +3 at back 9.
shot within 10 feet at 6 holes, didn't get any birdie tho. balls lipsed out
2 times, in then out one time.
fairway hit: 8/14
green hit: 9/18
putts: 32, 2 time - 3 putts
tee shot was great, approach shot was greet. there was only one shot I didn'
t like - the first tee shot.
the best thing about the round was: only 2 and half hours |

caught up from 4-strok behind, birdied #17 #18 were brilliant.
Stension, Els were disappointing. Too many chances left for Els, like hole #
16 short par 4, and #18.
Stension was totally lost in the play of # 18. well, more likely, from #16.
Unbelievable story for Tiger again. Even his win could be shadowed by today'
s nfl final. |

400 - 420 yards的par4 现在能80%的机会driver + wedge,
530 码或更短的, driver + 5wood for reaching，
这使得7000码的球场容易很多很多。
今天9洞的开球，平均距离绝对有300码 （总距离）。
4次birdies （机会更确切）。
这些都是近1月内只去过2次driving range的结果。 |

130 yards won't be a big advantage for me for birdies.

bogey to 1 or 2. thus you can be a pro, always low 70. keep on going buddy
now i am satisfied with bogeys , though there are always 4-5 double bogeys
and 1 trible bogeys. i need pars to cover bogeys , so i can break 90 |

lots of my play partners noticed that I can easily save pars from a 5-8 feet
putts, but barely birdies it from the same range. seems different mindset
is working.. |

is why i cannot GIR. need to improve it.
570 yards is the longest hole i usually play, and there is only one 400+
yard par 4 hole. so I can tee off by 2nd iron, which normally for 190-200
yards and then using another iron to approach.
Yesterday I play twilight 9 hole, for the first time I got one GIR for one
340 yards par 4 hole. and got one birdie for a 130 hole par 3. that made me
so happy. also I got some feelings |

发帖数: 904 | 14 i think it boils down to what clubs one feels more comfortable with. i am
comfortable with a iron approach shots from 150 range, but very unonfortable
with hitting a driver into a well guarded narrow fairway. my 2/3 iron off
the tee into a 380 par 4 give me more chances for par than driver off the
tee.
if i want birdie, yes, driver/wedge is a better bad. but if i miss fire the
driver, we will be talking about bogey or worse.
btw, i am teeski, not soundview. |

I've ever played.
2-time eagle try, one is from 248 yards par 4 (dogleg right, measured in 300
+ yards, I just go for the
green and made it..) the other is a short par 5.
messed up by 3 holes.. so didn't get those holes score right. for the rest,
all solid..

发帖数: 10701 | 16 It was a good battle between Adam Scott and Ryan Moore yesterday.
Adam missed the eagle at hole # 16, one stroke behind Ryan, after Ryan
birdies hole #17. Adam holded it back at #18 by one bidire. The game got hot
when the playoff started.
Adam did have 2 good chances for the 2 playoff holes. Unfortunate, he didn't
convert them into the win afer missing the 2 within 10 feet putts. The 3rd
playoff hole was back to #18 again. Ryan smoked his driver, Adam hit his
ball into the fairway bunker.

发帖数: 10701 | 17 I found my putting is not as sharp as before I left which is bad. Putting is
the last thing i wanted to trade out. I remembered i had several rounds
having 30 and less putts. i was barely afraid of any putt within 10 feet for
par saving/birdies.
i just realize my stroke temp got shorten. after missed several short putts,
my confidence level went lower also. |

We played 27 holes. 2 back-9, 1-front 9. i hit 7 over for the 1st back-9. it
was pretty bad. d-b 3 times + 1 bogey. then hit 3-over for front 9, and
another 3-over for the 2nd back 9 (failed at the last hole again. )
hit a lot fairways for the last back 9, like 6/8, hit 6/9 greens. missed too
many birdie chance tho. didn't quite get used to the course's green.
1st time to play with the kid on course. we knew other each for about one

2. solid through many holes, even with the driver off a little bit
3. two splendid shot from the lies behind the trees with about 185+ yards
4. hit +3 through 9 holes, another +5 through back 9 holes (+3 through the
last 2 holes). My bad problem, counting score always.
5. putt very well, I pretty sure it could be less than 30 for this round.
6. chipping & pitching are well as well.

头一次看到连续两天，Tiger进入18洞的时候，面临着birdie or die的境遇
头一次看到4天的常规比赛里，Tiger能以3歌double bogey开局
谢谢usopen网站让俺前两天能实时看到比赛
Rocco是个相当值得尊敬的选手，他的稳定和策略都让人叹为观止，始终保持着对Tiger
的压力，除了Sudden Death的那一洞
Tiger的腿，依然有些担心，他发球上球道的比率下降了很多，希望能多休息调养，再次
完美出发
最惊心动魄的不是今天的18洞，而是昨天的18洞，尤其是球一开始入了沙坑，第二杆又
进了草。那一推，不知道多少Tiger fans和俺一样，呼吸声都能听见，心怦怦狂跳，还
有那一击入洞后的兴奋狂喜。
这周的比赛，很多细节都值得慢慢回味，但是结局始终完美，Tiger，Congratulation!

round of my life so far, -3.
I played at my home course Roy Kizer which is a 6800 yards par 71 course. I
bogeyed # 8 par 3 which was the one I believe I lost my 6-iron.
Then I birdied #10, #12, #16, #17, saving the par on #18 was a big time for
me.
I hit 11 Greens. don't remember how many fairways which don't matter.
I am just so happy now. |

然后就是牙关紧咬。到了后九course management又出错，竟然又出了一个triple
bogey加一个double bogey。要不是一个birdie和一个eagle救驾，今天就超80了。
Course Management真是不容易提高。打顺手的时候，觉得什么球都能打好，不去想
risk reward，结果总是受惩罚。 |

felt bad about 2 3-putts which were within 15 feet range. it was pretty dumb
.
birdied two holes.
and triple-b at no. 7 was another stupid thing I did. just way to
conservative and sub-concious when playing the tournament.
i sent my 3-wood for reshaft. at one par 5, i tried to driver from ground
for my 2nd shot. topped badly which was embrassed. actually, i did try
several balls at driving range. they were pretty good.

but it did take long time for me to get used to the fariway woods.
for TOUR players, they use the fariway woods for more accuracy tee shot.
their 3-woods goes about 260 yards, in the meantime, which is big advantage
for those 7000-yard course.
driver or woods, now it depends on my strategy and options. for those more
than 380-yard par4, I definitely use driver 'coz my 2nd shot is so much
easier to birdie chance; for those par4 between 330 to 380 yards, I use 3 |

birdied 2次，都是从par3里拿到的，很不容易。double-b两次，一个从50码处，忘了
是在打50码，full-swing讲球直接送出岛状果岭，另外一个d-b是最后一个洞，天已经
黑了。
希望这轮成绩能给我点自信打下周的texas mid-amateur tournement. |

i feel birdie par3 need rely on putt a lot.
it is not easy to get close to the hole regardless it is 200 yard par3 or
100 yard par3.
i thought you would play well at par5. |

发帖数: 10701 | 45 for those par5s, yah, normally, there are about 530 yards ,560/590 for some
downwind holes, i can't reach by 2 anyway ( a bit short always, like 5/10
yards). my approach shot, normally, uses the "go for it" strategy. it ends
up some chipping/pitching from tough spots. you know, closer the green, more
trouble around.
i have much more birdie chance from a dog-left par5 which i have to layup
for my 2nd shot. and i play my wedge for the 3rd shot to get closer.
so.. it's how it is. |

昨天，又上了一年前第一次PAR的那个9 hole course
89 yards against wind
i even birdie that hole once before, but not yesterday, bogey.
the pin location was different, that is obivious.
but the major difference, i feel, was that:
a year ago, i was glad that i can just hit the ball.
so without much of thinking, i played 9 iron, and it landed on green.
a year later, i picked pitching wedge, since my pitching can vary between 90
-110 on range now, it is getting very hard to control, not to mention the
wind |

得好
但因为我木杆、长铁太烂，打一些长par4/par5的洞对我来说太折磨人了，三杆下来才
摸到果岭边，哈哈
所以主要现在主要就是靠短铁和推杆吃饭 |

, the course is not that long, 500yard for par 5 and the longest par 4 is
400 yards, longest par 3 is 195 yards. total 42 for this par 35 9 hole. Now
my iron is pretty straight and still not dare to use woods.

still, you need to take advantage of the biggest weapon in your bag to bring
your game to next level.
I suggest you can use the drill I always recommend: chipping balls using
your fairway woods (hybrid) on the carpet at your home, try to feel the
contact, remember how you make the solid contact, then exaggerate your
movement, from 1/8 (1/4) swing to 1/4 swing, half swing and finally full-
swing.
