体可植入MEMS及其在医学上的运用。查一查他最近几年的文章，好像只有诸如
Biotechnology and Bioengineering
Biosensors & Bioelectronics
IEEE-Biomedical engineering 之类的杂志。 但是令我不解的是此人去年从National
Institute of Health拿到了三百万，用于做人造肾脏的研究。并在2003年被
technical review评为一百名杰出青年科学家。 因为本人原来是搞基础生物物理学研
究的，对工程类的情况不大了解。 我的问题是工程类的项目从联邦机构拿钱靠的是文
章还是运用前景？ 另外怎么看一个工程教授牛不牛？

现在有一个下家，是做silicon nano tube 包上一层lipid的膜，做生物传感器，我们
做基础的部分，
Berkley一个机械工程的老师做电子器件部分，和LLNL合作的项目，关于bio security
的。
我以后想找工作去工业界，比如硅谷。
但是听说根本没有nano 的sensor产品出现，都只是在实验室作的。请问我做这种研究
是不是最后只能去
postdoc。

其实对nano我也是一知半解。说得不好大家不要peng 阿
我觉得一开始，大家发现的什么量子效应好像很hot,老一辈(其实并不老，呵呵)的如L.E.
Brus, Bawendi, Alivisatos这些元老对这方面都很有研究，但是好像这方面的实际应用
并不大（但是Alivisatos做的好像很不错，做了不少偏应用的东西）
前几年搞合成真是爽，发文章就象什么一样，呵呵。不过经典的也就那么几篇了，呵呵。
现在，好象几方面很hot，一是以Lieber为首的，呵呵，搞device，compute什么的，很有
意思。不过不知道什么时候才能真正能commercialize.还有就是和Bio联系起来，也不错
。比如说什么biosensor啊，还有Alivisatos作label啊，Mirkin的DNA什么的。再就是sel
f-assembly。上次面试的时候，一个教授就跟我说，next decade, self-assembly will
be very hot. :)

biosensor. FEA对我来说只是一个工具，用来解决我在研究中遇到的问题。只是我做
computer simulation， 一做就是3年，剩下的一年用简单的实验来验证我的
simulation 理论。所以我想我花了这么多时间在FEA上。模拟方法和理论上还可以了，
自己的专业方面知识呢，理解的应该也不错（因为有simulation）。 希望能找到排得
上用场的工作。
