的书是 biography。
但我估计大部分人都会把 biography 看成 biology 。。。吼吼
其实我没写，娃还看了 arts/music 专门方面的类似 biography 的书，但属于
arts/music section。严格而言，应该属于 biography 和 arts/music
history 之间的书。
还有其他的书，比如 social/survival 方面的，等等，懒的写。不过貌似
娃借了 survival 方面的书还没看，前两周第一时间看的是 social 方面的。
这个好像也是男女有差别，女娃可能更在意在 social 方面的 survival，
男娃可能更在意在 nature 方面得 survival。。。 |

When I was watching Sorkin’s Newsroom, i loved its wit. But i didn’t
relate too strongly with the show, because i didn’t really think the US
media is as bad as Sorkin was trying to portray: jaded, sensationalism,
interested in the rating only, not interested in exposing the truth.

我又看了一下这里小学三年级给家长建议的娃读完书以后问娃的问题。
首先，这些建议的读 fiction 以后问的问题，对于 non-fiction
biography （不是你说的历史故事那种形式的），基本没法问。
我觉得对 reader 的差别是：
fiction story 的 reading comprehension，其本质是 comprehend
author's opinion。
non-fiction biography 的 reading comprehension，其本质是
develop reader's own opinion from facts，more or less 。。。 |

动作，也不是重复动作，引导兴趣还有有点麻烦的。
扼杀在萌芽状态的另一个是读 juvenile section 的 biography，
也包括某些明星 biography。娃连很多公主/女王（真公主哦，不是
童话公主）的 biography 都读了，比如靠拼爹的 Queen Elizabeth II，
靠嫁人的 Grace Kelly，还有 Dianna。。。知道万事皆不容易。。。 |

最近恶补了一下史上最著名的连环杀手的传记，尤其是A&E的Biography节目的serial
killer传记系列。
回头再看Criminal Minds的片头，意识到其中出现在角落和背景中的mugshot原来都是
史上最著名的连环杀手。
（所谓mugshot，就是犯人入狱时拍摄的正侧面照片）
经过查阅所有历史著名连环杀手的资料(如wikipedia)图片(如mugshots.com)视频(如
Biography节目)等内容，并与片头中所有照片反复一一对照后(比如，查出wikipedia里
面所有连环杀手的资料，把每个人的照片跟片头出现的mugshot核对），终于揭密出其
中21人的身份。
下面的内容中不仅挨个找出了mugshot的真实版本，
更附上了每人的简介（Bio)、趣闻(Trivia)和名言(Quote)。 |

白话文运动以来，西化的病态日渐严重。今日的中文虽因地区不同而互见差异，但共同
的趋势都是繁琐与生硬，对于这种化简为繁、以拙代巧的趋势，有心人如果不及时提出
警告，我们的中文势必越变越差，而道地中文原有的那种美德，那种简洁而又灵活的语
文生态，也必将面目全非。

自五四新文化运动以来，七十年间，中文的变化极大。一方面，优秀的作家与学者笔下
的白话文愈写愈成熟，无论表情达意或是分析事理，都能运用自如。另一方面，道地的

叔叔John George Trump教授。
故事得从中国原子能之父、两弹功勋赵忠尧（1902年6月27日－1998年5月28日）院士说
起。
1946年，年富力强智睿的赵忠尧，赴美国参观在太平洋搞的原子弹试验，稍后在麻省理
工学院电机系静电加速器实验室、卡内基地磁研究所、加州理工学院核反应实验室工作
。1948年，获选为中华民国中央研究院第1届（数理科学组）院士。1950年返国途中被
美国政府拘留达数月之久。之后克服重重困难，于1950年底取道香港返回中国大陆，在
中国科学院物理研究所、高能物理研究所工作。之后的履历广见于各类官方文献，总之
，归国后为我国核武器研发做出过巨大贡献！
下图是当年参观美国原子弹试验的照片， 前排左一为赵忠尧。
参观完毕，其他国家的观摩代表回到美国本土游山玩水，唯独中华民国政府派来的赵忠
尧却“神秘失踪”了。他作为高能物理学者，深知核技术研究的基础设施就是粒子加速
器，他选择“滞留”美国，无外乎要设法购买这一“神器”或搞到其核心技术！
