比较高。业界的bioassay对quantification和robustness要求非常高，所以在技术上的
要求和一般的qualitative assay非常不一样。因为入门门槛和专业化程度高，好的
bioassay experts在job market上非常吃香，job security也很不错。可能的缺点是为
是一个非常专业细分的方向所以因为转到其他技术方向比较难。 |

的次级代谢产物diversification十分显著，一个pathway可能有很多结构相似的产物，

不管是多肽和其他小分子化合物，结构鉴定相对容易。多肽也不能靠简单测序，很多都
有修饰：hydroxylation，methylation，disulfide bond，cyclization,

书找工作，同时办绿卡。等绿卡办到老婆也读了个好找工作的学位出来。然后千老去大
药厂找contractor的工作做，不要做千老方向的contractor，要找做分析，做bioassay
，蛋白纯化这些方向的，做完一年后，水平好的大公司找到工作，水平差些的找CRO的
工作也没有问题。 |

的，做完一年后，水平好的大公司找到工作，水平差些的找CRO的工作也没有问题。
切记方向最重要，contractor job将是千老二次投胎的机会，最好不要去做药厂
discovery部门很基础的工作，做完以后仍然会有一大堆paper比你多，背景比你强的千
老竞争。药厂的development部门一般最看重经验，不太讲究paper。去药厂
development部门做contractor后，以后找工作就脱离了千老群体，跟你竞争的人会少
很多很多。不过好的contractor job也不那么容易找，如果没有多少相关经验，那就需
要熟人介绍了。
还要记住一点，半转行也是需要很多努力的，好些方向就算很容易上手，但是要想能做

validation的方法。如果细胞技术过硬，可以考虑cell engineering. 实在不行，把博
士经历去掉改成master，先到小公司混两年经验，换公司时再提自己的博士学位。

广告还没有贴出来，我碰巧看到了正在修改的广告。希望有同胞可以拿到位置。
简单的说，是要招一个chemist，懂surface chemistry 和有bioassay development
experience的。有相关背景和兴趣的请站短我，我可以提供更多信息。
个人觉得在这个国家实验室工作做博后的好处如下。 1. 工资高，福利好。标准博后工
资税前超过6000。眼科和牙医都免费，还有小孩相关的福利，不过我不是很清楚。2.
压力比较小。做博后至少头两年一定有funding，PI们一般都不催。3. 中国人不算很多
，但是也不算凤毛麟角。认识个把中国人吃个午饭也不难。4. 附近是dublin和
pleasanton, 去华人超市和饭店很方便，大概开车15-20分钟路程。5.做完博后，有50%

发帖数: 684 | 50 今天去参加了一个叫SAPA (Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals
Association，中美医药开发协会)组织的会议，来的基本都是中国人，不少来自国内企
业，比如恒瑞，也有一些是Abbott，J&J，Teva公司里的中国人。借这个机会跟工业界
的前辈们交流，觉得还是有一些收获的。于是把感想归纳以下几点：
1.
化学药研发持续萎靡，主要原因是：1，创新瓶颈，R&D成本上升而产品减少；2，专利
悬崖，大量专利过期，generic drugs对brand drugs的 围追堵截。这几年Big Pharm的
日子很难过，只能不断裁员缩减成本。Merck就把几乎整个合成部门砍掉，几千号地裁
人，NJ当地经济肯定是大受影响了。如果没有新的药物靶点或者革新当前的研发模式，
小分子药物最终可能会在低廉仿制药的带动下，变成快消这类的大众消费品，高额利润
的时代也将成为过去。
2.
医药产业的外包转移，CRO公司的崛起。有机合成是Pharmaceutical Industry必不可少
