the advantage here over traditional flat files because DTD helps to
define the data type, while flat file certainly can not do.
But it does not mean XML has any advantage over other formats that

我搬家，一个人先过去，ld 和娃有可能几个月后也过去。在 mailing list 上找了一个
房子，中国房东，要求只能住单身，不能住 family，必须签至少半年的合同。发通用的
那种 contract 过来，有一条说，要 sublet，必须征得房东同意。因为ld 和娃过来时
可能还差两个月才满半年，我就发 email 问：
