HR suggested me to go to the goverment and get unemployment benefit. I'm the
only non-citizen employee in the company, I guess the HR doesn't know
whether I'm eligible to get unemployment benefit. But if I'm eligible, it
would be a very good thing. Does anybody know? Has anybody had the similiar

CENTER,信里说是为了加快处理速度，都说是要给面试，我们情况非常简单，我就说没
有面试的可能，现在RELINK到EB3，我是不是往USCIS NBC邮寄信而不是TSC了？
好像从来没有看到过这个NATIONAL BENEFIT CENTER的CASE暴绿的，难道还会转回到TSC
? 我该怎么办那? 就怕CASE一拖就是几年没人理，管你是不是CURRENT了！ |

新人，公司benefits 刚刚enrolled，内容有hsa contribution， Kaiser medical
dental， vision还有些别的小的insurance。
其中kaiser medical 和 HSA contribution是大头，每个月要交近700，没有概念，感
觉这么多钱好多的样子。plan cover我个人和lp， lp没收入。 请问700每月是个合理
的数字吗？是不是太多了？ 我的HSA每年个人contribution选了4000，也不知道是不是
太多了

请问，这个B刀能作为Commuter transportation benefits算做deduction吗？
如果算的话，NJ-1040表上的第14行“14 Wages, salaries, tips, and other
employee
compensation (Enclose W-2)”的数目将比W-2表上的NJ wages少，有问题吗？

一天开始算？ 这个有没有过期一说？比如因为当事人的家属有事情滞留在中国，可能

高中的孩子
等他身故后 ，他的孩子 可领到2000 块 ，他的太太因为照顾孩子 可领到 2000 块。
她自己的那一份必须等她62 岁以后才能领取，前提是不再婚，
等他的孩子18 岁以后， 大家以前认为会终止，但是律师说 孩子在17 岁的时候 要
enroll college class for degree purpose ,这样 social security benefit 会持续
到孩子大学毕业 。
但是孩子到18 岁以后 她太太因照顾孩子而领取的那份 2000 会终止，这时候如果还没
有到62 岁，会出现空档。
总之我们单位的律师把一切都交代的很清楚， WT 身故后，律师得到他太太的授权，会
出面全权办理 他太太和孩子 应该得到的政府和我们单位给予的 benefit 。不会让遗
属两眼一抹黑的。 我想 WT 也给他太太交代清楚了家里financial 情况，否则不符合
人伦，不符合常理。

今天这一讲，给大家讲讲单位里面常见的各种benefits。
最重要的benefits，大概莫过于是医疗保险了。众所周知，美国看医生非常昂贵，没有
医疗保险，几乎就不要考虑去看医生了，当你的雇主给你提供医疗保险时，你自己所出
的一般是个零头部分，绝大部分的保金都是雇主替你交了。有的时候一个公司有很多种
医疗保险可供选择，很多时候有人贪便宜，买high-deductible的medical insurance(就
是那种每个人的deductible好几大千或者上万刀的便宜医疗保险，不是指deductible低
的保险），实在不是一个好的选择。人是吃五谷杂粮的，难保没有这个毛病那个问题的。
一般来说，PPO可以看的医生比较多，是全国的network, 但经常要员工自己出10%，HMO
看的医生比较少，常常是只能看本地的医生，但保险付的钱会多一些。如 |

我在一家small pension consulting干了３年了，主要做DB的，本来去年就可以拿FSA
，但是因为一直想换到其他field（life 或 PC），就拖着DMAC没完成，但是因为我在
的地方工作机会比较少，竞争激烈（我在加拿大），就一直没能换成。
最近有一个health ＆ group benefit 的职位，某大咨询公司，２个星期前和HR谈了一
下，这个星期五要和team leader 电话面试。我的问题：
１。我对这个方向没什么了解，有什么文章，贴子，书推荐么？我好临时补补功课，汗。
２。我希望能多做一些valuation的work，但我没有大咨询公司的经验，更没有health

1 固定在一个科室的
（1）full time: 12 hours/day, 3 days a week。我们医院其实32小时/周就算full
time了。有的有8 hours/day, 5 days/week。但是越来越多的医院只实行12小时制度
，这样安排容易一些：多数是7A-7：30P, 7P-7:30A；也有9A－9：30P, 9P-9:30A的；
或者11A－11：30P，11P－11：30A的，后2种很少。
（2）part time:要求20或24小时/周，有benefits，但是我们医院的medical
insurance part time的差不多是我们full time的2倍，vision and dental insurance
一样。其余的benefits没有比较过。
（3）prn：就是缺人的时候去，自己根据网上公布的空缺挑选, 没有最低小时限制
。没有benfits
（4）weekend only,又叫Baylor program：必须每个周六日上班，白班是base的1.4
