核心就是，bellevue即使international抽签上不到，可以考overlake的天才班，考不
上的话，也有newport和bellevue high这两个极好的学校做备份
别的学区质量比不比得上bellevue先不说，先天选择就少了很多

因为大伙儿去一个区，显然是想去上它的最好学校，而不是去上它的一般学校。
Bellevue的最好高中是International School. 它和Kirkland的International School
这2个学校是整个华州的Top 2. 相信这一点是没有争议的, right?
International School是抽签上的。但是，学生中尖子生很多。简单的道理：适者生存
！听说的普遍状况是，一般学生即使抽签到了International School，相当一部分一段
时间后也会drop的。很简单，谁愿意每天做不完的高难度homework, 每晚学习到凌晨几
点结果还是班上倒数几名？
那我的小孩要是抽不上International School怎么办呢？不要紧，运气不好，但有实力

搬家终于Settle Down了，开始寻末着找房子了，搬家前朋友就给欧这第一次买房的三
个忠告:Location, repeat1 2 3。。。
欧现在租房住在New Port High School附近，昨天听人说这个学校很好...周末跟人去
看了个色密密市的房子，挺好的，就是感觉开车有点远,30 mins，不好意思，以前都是
开五分钟Local就上班的...还不大适应...
但是什么Bellevue, Redmond还有什么色密密市对欧来说是太大了，一模黑。。。哪个

也忽悠上去了，有多少去international的？Interlake也是以前prisim的掐尖班吧，实
际上也是其他学区的不少功劳。bsd去了Newport，其他有啥？因为交通原因，搬去
Newport 的，也一样掐了其他学校的尖。另外所谓的“势”，520一线才是。从Green
Lake, UW, Kirkland, Redmond涨幅显然高于bellevue。
说白了，006的Newport是家长向往的，其他的来忽悠学校好，不配。

发帖数: 12906 | 20 星期六去bellevue square看过海兵前辈推荐的春节表演，然后转了转mall里的商场。
我星期二刚刚在portland买了不少过季的衣服，所以留心比了比价格。
相同的专卖店，价格一样，但是：东西明显不如portland全，人还多的要死，服务员长
的很奇怪（portland的服务员都是白白嫩嫩身材火辣笑容满面热情洋溢的小白妞，一边
导购一边可以flirt），再加上交税，跟在portland的专卖店体验差远了。
nordstrom。一样的东西在bellevue不打折，在portland已经放在clearance的架子。
macy's。bellevue square的macy's乱七八糟，相同的牌子的衣服货严重不全。有几个
相对好点的牌子在bellevue的macy's没有boutique，在portland就有，而且参加macy's
的优惠打折，差不多3-5折就可以拿到。
顶级品牌在portland所有地方都没有。
结论，bellevue人民的消费能力很强。如果要买非顶级品牌的东西，去portland，
bellevue的100块可以在portland顶150块。 |

发帖数: 618 | 22 这个问题我是这么看的，主要还是生源的问题吧。SKYLINE周边一水儿的SFH，中产严重
集中的地段，生源家庭背景，受教育程度相似度比较高，水准比较容易维持，要是亚裔
越来越集中，分数只会越来越高。至于BELLEVUE，象Factorial（Newport High）/
downtown Bellevue（Bellevue High），因为交通便利，生活方便，居民的背景就比较
复杂，说不好听一点，人住TENT的也有资格上学不是（只要他住同一区）(没有歧视的
意思，只是觉得他们多数不会太用心在子女教育上）。自然统考的时候会有拖后腿的现
象。但是话说回来，象BELLEVUE HIGH，98004，，98039几个区，MILLION$ HOUSE和高
档APARTMENT还是占相当大比例，地价昂贵的现象不那么容易很快改变。所以水准应该
不至于会下降太厉害。Newport High 那一带，如果真的要建大型的WALMART，会不会带
来什么影响还不好说。
另外我觉得大家搬到BELLEVUE的原因，学区固然是主要考虑因素，但是生活/交通方便

今晚3月底，我从原来租住的公寓搬到另外一个公寓。原来的公寓叫Avalon Bellevue，
在Bellevue市中心。搬走之前3个星期，他们就派了一个人到我的单元去检查，叫初步
检查，目的是看看有多脏和有没有损坏，给出一个初步的估计，估算一下我搬走之后要
给他们付多少钱。

大致说一下，这个项目是由一个nonprofit 组织GOAL(www.go-al.org)主办的。对
Bellevue居民免费，对Bellevue之外的居民收$125。每期6周，60小时，最后一周在
Bellevue Youth Theatre的场地公演(对外卖票的那种）。上一期是在去年11/12月，主
题是"The Nutcracker Musical"，是12月17号到20号演出的。这一期今天开始，注册截
止到本周末，主题是"swan fairytale musical", 和上一期一样是从芭蕾舞剧改编的音
乐剧。我家娃参加了第一期，第二期也参加。

达1.23%,高出50%多!
有人可能说房子价格Bellevue高。可是我发现Shoreline的房子assessment水分比
Bellevue也高不少。
现状就是同样价格的房子，Shoreline的交的Property Tax要大大大高于Bellevue的。
难道不是Bellevue的学区更好么，平均收入更高么？

今年刚上初中。
在PRISM,LA和SS这两门被老师各种虐，我们家长都看不下去。比如说SS老师扔给大家一
篇关于伊斯兰的文章，大概20页，小字密密麻麻，里面各种生僻词，GRE级别的，读了
要写笔记，写essay,得有深度，测验也不划范围，几百个生词随便捡几十个就考，还要
深度理解。大家都考不好老师就随意制定评分标准，比如说对一半就算满分。我不认为
这是一种负责的态度。六年级，这明显是故意刁难学生。
每次统一的州里考试老二的成绩都明显比老大好，但是现在看GPA老大轻松在上。
关于Bellevue 和 Issaquah 学区的比较，我的孩子在两边学校都上过，我的体会是
Bellevue设施好，课程丰富，课后活动和辅导更有保障。Issaquah的老师总体素质好，
Bellevue的老师鱼龙混杂，参差不齐。初中阶段，Bellevue学区每天7堂课，放学后还
有30分钟辅导时间。Issaquah每天6堂课，放学后好像没有辅导时间。Bellevue的高中
毕竟算老字号，个人觉得值得搬家。 |
