加班费。他们west palm beach的分部我去过，看起来非常好。其中一个小伙子做得非
常好，我们内部好像离了他就没法做下去了，所以我们加薪20%想办法把他挖过来，但
人家说对现状非常满意，不想再动了。这也从另外一个侧面说明这个公司不错。 |

engineering. polymer 方面的 基本skill 我都会 （比如 polymer synthesis,
polymer processing, characterization etc). 前段时间 忙着毕业， 没怎么投入找
工作。 现在 开始准备了。
烦请 有这方面内推机会的朋友 能不能照顾下， 我将感激不尽。
我注意到 cincinnati 附近的公司（but not limited to）： PPG indutries 和
Belcan （in milford, OH) 还有Trylak Technologies （in cincinnati or clumbus,
OH) post的 polymer 方向的position 和我的major 很match。 要是有这里面的朋
友烦请 推荐下。

401k or vacation. It is basically an hourly rate. |

vacation (public holiday not included), but this is a contractor position,
not bad I think. |

contract公司的可远不止34/hr,多出的是什么?税,医疗,假期,401k,利润,等等.如果是
真的1099contractor,hourly rate肯定至少要翻个倍. |

很费劲地电话 Negotiate 了两次，答应加1k， 还有1.5k sign up bonus.
发现不管什么offer，包括contract，我们都要try to negotiate, don't be shy. |

我指点几个路，1是各种软件公司当support,比如ansys. 2是汽车相关行业，比如gm/
ford/cat之类。 3是医疗器械公司有些fea/cfd职位， 4是it公司，计算机散热喷墨打
印机之流， 5是consulting公司，比如belcan等。 5是各种中小公司，叶轮机械比较多
。6是委身博后待机
各个行业需要customize简历，不要同一个简历到处投。 |

发帖数: 384 | 44 做ME的,有很多大公司可以去.但是有时候经常有HIRING FREEZE,办绿卡也很慢.
另外有一些大型的CONSULTING公司,像BELCAN, VOLT一类,他们有IN-HOUSE也有ON_SITE
的CONSULTING.ON_SITE的是派到大公司里做CONTRACT.这类工作相对好找,办绿卡很快,
而且做一段大公司的CONSULTING之后,跳槽很容易.所以ME的毕业生,要广撒网,多渠道,
还是很有机会的.

Most business units are still in the hiring freeze mode, only TBU and PDCOE
lifted the ban so far, but very limited direct hire openings, competition is
scorching, and you are in huge disadvantage if you need H1B sponsorship
But there are quite a few contractor/agency positions, you won't find them
in those job websites or CAT website. Try Volt, Belcan, Axis and other
agency companies, they are in the best position to know, and t |

电厂就太多了,duke energy, progress energy, 其他自己去搜吧. 不过电厂一般不做
什么分析,或者找人做分析,就是搞现场,比较实际. 估计不太对口
其他有些研究机构epri, swri
还有就是咨询公司, 既然会cfd/fea, belcan/ansys都很可能,turbine不少consulting
项目. |
