加州交规Driving in Darkness部分写着：

as long as it is not illegal.
这么说如果晚上开车应该尽量一直用high beam么(unless illegal)？但是没看到定义
什么情况是illegal。谁能帮忙指点一下加州交规那一页上说了什么时候用high beam是
illegal了？

beam的。当然我的老车也没有auto这一档，只有off,low beam, high beam
如今终于老车退役换了新的菜车。灯设在auto档，白天灯亮不亮的没啥感觉，晚上赫然
发现没有路灯的小街雪亮，再没有以前觉得邻居们真好都把前门和车库灯开着模拟路灯
的温馨感了。
研究了一下发现，原来auto状态下晚上开的是high beam而不是low beam.
那这个符合交规吗？如果对面来车不是要恨死我了？还是现在的趋势就是这样，大家都
是high beam满街晃的，我老土了？总不会是我这车设置错了吧？
我就这么auto下去了吗？ |

发帖数: 30533 | 3 偶觉得选拍的时候，选thin beam还是thick beam, 完全要根据自身条件决定。
好的拍子要成为你胳膊的natural extension, 所以：
1）如果你胳膊粗，就应该选thick beam。你胳膊空挥的阻力已经不小，用一个
thin beam也省不了多少，相反用了thick beam则更瓷实、稳重。代表人物
Nadal.
2）如果你胳膊细，就应该选thin beam。这样，手拍合一，形成一个piercing
sword, 阻力很小，挥拍动作敏捷。代表人物Federer. |

one of the main beams, it should be 8". For such a thick beam, a half
centimeter crack doesn't seem to be a problem for such an old house. You can
always add steel reinforcement to the cracking beam or run one or two
parallel beams to share the weight of this beam. 5-6 feet is not long at all
. If you can do it yourself, it shouldn't cost you much at all. So if I were
you, I would follow your inspector's opinion. |

没过，当时跑到dealer那里去看，那个老头给我换了灯泡后还嘲笑我说，看我就是给你
换了个灯泡，就要收你这么多钱！回到车检那里才发现，老头根本就没修好，但不知道
怎么多开关几次，居然亮了，就过了。因为很少用high beam，所以这事后来就没管了。
到了今年再车检，又是因为high beam不亮给fail了，这次我就发现，似乎雨天这鬼灯
不亮的概率就大很多。但不管怎样，这次我是要决心搞定它。先是跑到之前给我修
gasket问题的地方查，他换了个灯泡不管用，说得预约好好查，这一下就给支到半个月
后了。然后我就打遍了周围几乎所有修车铺的电话还跑了几家，结果都不知道问题，都
说要预约，几家还说可以查查，但是查就得出钱，即使没解决-_-。终于，一家修车铺
的善良小姐给我介绍了个地方，还帮我找到电话。
结果一个电话打过去，我说我是99年9-3，high beam灯不亮，他说你看面板上那个high
beam的蓝色指示灯亮不？我一看，不亮。他就说，不用预约，有空就过来吧，几分钟
的事儿-_-。

上网查到的牌子一般是Sylvania H1 XV BP XtraVision Fog Light
我需要买的是fog light么？

also 8" in that direction. I stayed in a quite high profile condo earlier
this year in Colorado and I see similar cracks in the room in longer beams.
Such cracks should be natural for such an old house. It is possible to add
steel plates to reinforce the cracked portion of the beam to add its
strength. I also suspect there are special glue to cure such cracks but you

beam 之后发现远的地方是更亮了，但是近的地方比不开high beam 的时候还要暗，并
且挺明显的。请问这是怎么回事？
另外，发现车停在红灯前的时候，有时抖动的挺厉害，可以明显的看见车里的矿泉水瓶
里的水在抖动，有人说这是honda 设计的问题，大家有类似的问题吗？
最后，开车窗的时候发现，如果开前排的车窗，噪声还比较正常，但是如果开后排的车
窗，经常能听见那种轰轰的声音，这正常吗？

晚上开Highway需要开远光灯（high beam）吗？
1. 需要：
近光灯（low beam）只能照到车速45－50mph时的安全刹车距离。
2. 不能开：
前方不远处有车的时候不能开远光灯，不管是对面还是同向。远光灯影响对方开车，如
果别的车失控，可能撞倒你的车，反而不安全。如果惹恼了德州红脖子，朝你开一枪。

所以开不开大家看着办吧。 |

Not sure about your 93, but usually just hands or socket drive/skrew driver
for most cars. Any repair manual or google search should tell you the

加州某农村，昨天晚上十点多开车在灯光不好的路上，用了high beam想看清楚右转路
口是否有行人，当时前方和对面确认没有车，但这时候条子就突然出现在后面亮了等，
说不应该开high beam,感觉像是条子缺钱故意找茬，当时前后对面确实没有靠近的其它
车。
请问这样的ticket通常会罚多少钱？有必要出庭去辩解么？

google车型。
你每天开着high beam跑很伤人品的，对面和前车估计把你从直立行走以后所有的祖宗

1. 自己打开high beam是因为careless，买车刚刚半年，对车不是很熟悉。
2. 警察在天气一栏勾选的是“no adverse”,但实际上那一天在下小雨，只不过抓我的
那一会儿雨变得很小很小。可不可以说自己刚刚开车从cleveland的其他地区回来，回
来的路上是有雨的，结果开了heigh beam，但是后来没有及时关掉。 而且，警察在
traffic情况一栏勾选的是“heavy”，当时都快晚上9点了，根本没有那么车。 感觉这
个警察整个一个胡编啊。 |
