没忍住来详细再说两句 :)。刚好自己以前也是做SDR的,提供一点思路,希望对楼主有
帮助。
通信领域SDR算是一个比较容易转行的领域,因为涉及的算法和硬件实现相对通信领域
的其他坑,都更为general,可以相对较容易的把知识transfer到其他相关领域。
SDR有很多可做的方面,不管是前端的RF的,还是数据采集,还是信号处理。我以前做
的比较多的是baseband信号处理。SDR的平台不管是USRP也好,NI的FlexRIO,还是Rice
的WARP,或是基于Xilinx FPGA的一些平台,基本的思路都是用general processor或者
FPGA来处理信号。
研究较多的几个领域无非就是信道均衡、信号检测与估值、纠错码解码。除非纯做算法
仿真和算法的改进,具体实现到实际SDR平台上都会涉及到软硬件加速,否则以现有的
平台的计算能力,很难达到4G/5G对于处理速度的要求。那么途径无非是CPU多核多线程
编程,GPU的并行计算,FPGA上面的并行算法的加速(大部分人用Xilinx的high level
synthesis tools,或者System Generator,再或者... 阅读全帖

梦达的,百分之十几的价格,十二寸的设备,TI自己都不感相信,不过用耒作模拟器件

Where is relation/funding,sigh. For a tech startup, it is now very
difficult to get funding without revenue in good valuation, VC
here was burned last 2 years.
Currently, most market are saturated like semi/cosumer electronic/
wireless and dead telcomm/optical/PC. Opportunity for us may be
importing those tech to China where they are seriouly in short
guess most are engineering pp here.
As to that cdma dept bought out by holly VC, they supporsely will
sell baseband chip for $15 and qualcomm will

INTC最近收购如下:
1)Windriver, 最大的嵌入式软件公司
2)TXN的cable modem chip: 最好的docis 调制器
3)McFee
4) Inf的baseband
看来INTC要大举进入消费市场,两个重要领域Set Top Box 和 手机。
这两个是家电数码化最核心的部分。 Set Top Box可以控制家里的媒体中心,
手机就不用说了。。两者结合起来提供的total solution不可小看。
这几个收购都做得不错,看好INTC.
以后就看看INTC跟这两个领域的巨头BRCM/QCOM决斗了。。。

My gut feeling, AAPL would switch to another baseband chip vendor for their
next generation mobile devices.
INTC is just too big a bitch to push around by AAPL.
As for the bundle chip (AP+BP), AAPL won't use it for sure because of A4.

双摸不是白双的,两套radio, footprint, 耗电。
LTE baseband套件,加AP CPU, 如果是VZ,已经就得加EVDO,能塞进那个iphone 4的壳子?明年
够呛。
双也是等TD-LTE出来一起双。

smartphone processor方面,NVDA和TXN是一路的。AP为王,没有BP。
QCOM/BRCM/MRVL走的是另外的路子。他们都可以给一整套的smartphone solution,也
可以分开来提供baseband和application processor。所以他们也可以跟AAPL
什么的合作,比较灵活.
目前综合来看,QCOM领先。NVDA的edge在于起步早,把AP的GPU方面做到极致。
但现在的hype太高了,我不认为Tegra 3能保持Tegra 2在目前AP市场的领先地位。
低端smart phone市场,NVDA也机会不大.那块BRCM的前景可能更好。

TI现在彻底没有BP了吗?
GSM时代,它的baseband做得很好啊。wcdma是没干过qcom;ceo对这个也不来电,总想
着analog/mixed signal;为了省点小钱(实际不知道是省了还是没省),朝印度转进
;Nokia势衰和多供货商政策也是一个原因。
总之还是觉得可惜了

vimc风险太大了,而且他的未来貌似全在监控这块上,据说这部分竞争相当激烈
还是rda相对轻松点,现在FM,blue tooth,PA,transceiver都做的很好,而且TD有爆发
的趋势,TD上的transcerver他卖的不错。据说他要收购coolsland,进军baseband,以后
就跟sprd直接竞争了。。。。
