Department of Psychology, and a team of researchers have discovered a
link between weight loss and improved memory and concentration. The
study shows that bariatric surgery patients exhibited improved memory
function 12 weeks after their operations.
The findings will be published in an upcoming issue of Surgery for

surgeon 要好？因为他们专门做腹腔镜？
好像不同医生做法会有一点差别，可能会影响到多久恢复？
是不是找一个有5年经验的就可以拉？还是要找个比较有名的？有名的路远，也比较难

14年来第一次修正食品营养標准。而一场新的食品战爭也会因该指南的出现而打响。
加拿大卫生部的布希（Mary Bush）表示，新的食品营养指南体现了最新的食品营养科
学。而区別於老的食品指南，新的修订指南將包含更加具体的资讯。新的指南不会让人
们对於某些食物的营养含量多少、该吃多少而困惑。
加拿大卫生部歷时近2年来完成这个新的食品指南。指南也諮询了包括营养学家、食品
工业代表以及相关行业的专业人士的意见。指南花费了150万元用於编制和印刷。同时
，新版指南也区分了年龄和性別对不同饮食的要求。指南区分了从学龄前到老年人，四
类不同饮食群体的每日营养摄取的具体含量。指南也把每份饮食的热量和盐分做了清晰
的標注。以使加拿大人对健康饮食的组成成份有清晰的认识。

正在找医生中。这个手术是不是找 Bariatric surgeon (手术减重医生) 比找 General
surgeon 要好？因为他们专门做腹腔镜？

i personally don't really buy that postprandial hypoglycemia (reactive
hypoglycemia)theory, but that's just me, it's still a controversial topic,
some suggest it is just a functional symptom that might have nothing to do
with real hypoglycemia. the only exception is in patients with history of
bariatric surgery.
secondly, OGTT has no role in diagnosing hypoglycemia, 72 hour fasting is
the only way to know for sure if her hypoglycemia is real deal or not. also

出房颤，胸闷加气急，被我送进了医院，做了食道超声，电复律。效果很好，今天来复
诊。没有任何主诉，太平无事。问他还有什么事？他笑嘻嘻的说，他要去做Bariatric
Surgery即减肥手术，外科医生要心脏科医生出个Preop Evaluation，也就是通常所说
的术前Clearance。我看看他，身体很壮的样子，满是肌肉，经常在Gym里锻炼身体。他
的Body Mass Index（BMI，体重公斤数除以身高米的平方）也就32，大多是肌肉的成分
。我疑问到，不会吧，你真要去做这种手术？他还是笑嘻嘻，我的很多朋友做了手术，
反应很好，高血压没有了，糖尿病没有了。我问了外科医生了，我的Hiatal Hernia也
可以一并治好了。我再次认真的看着他，你也就一点点高血压，要去冒这个风险，吃一
刀，值得吗？他还是笑嘻嘻，风险他们都跟我说了，我还是想做。看来他是一条道走到
底了。美国肥胖病人很多，大多是吃出来的。自己又控制不了饮食，总想找捷径，因此

photo ID is useless. I could not recognize a patient who has lost 300 lb
after the surgery.
But most of my patients regreted after the surgery, even with significant
