helps.
but whether the barbri first year review materials or courses would be much
help is a tricky question. it depends on how your professors make his
questions. some think barbri stuff is rubbish and never give barbri-like
exams. some are not averse to using barbri style for exams. why don't you
just go to your professor to ask what materials might be helpful in
preparing for his/her exam. (most professors would advise |

Barbri只能on site听课，当然也可以再加750 美金update但也需要有ipod touch or
Iphone--I have neither...
但PMBR 就有专门的online course, 但可能没有barbri有经验吧...

The Jul 2013 barbri books should be exactly the same. Barbri is known for
lack of updates. They pay you extra money if your books are totally blank,
so that they change the covers and give them directly to the next class.
I missed the deadline for returning books. That's why I'm selling. |

registration for the Barbri course. If we register now, we can lock in this
year's rate and attend the course in or after 3L. I was told that the vast
majority of law students take the course. They also told us that by
registering now, we can get all sorts of first year exam review materials and
outlines. We can also get online and live review lectures for the first year
courses. I talked with a two L yesterday and he told |

it summarized the black letter law for you. However, I personally don't
think it is more helpful than reading the table of contents of the casebooks
in term of prep for the final exams. First of all, your prof is the master
of your universe, and he/she will decide what is the governing law in the
final and might expect your answers to reflect what cases/rules are

I had a good conversation with my tort professor this afternoon. It seems
that he is strongly against using the Barbri materials now. As you guys have
mentioned, the professor has his own realm of administering the exam.
I am just frustrated by the seemingly endless flexibility and overlapping
analysis in torts. Though it is getting better now. And my professor
encouraged me to take a wait-and-see approach. I guess the scientist in me
is still l |

我没参加什么培训班。 大多数法学院的同学都是参加了BARBRI的班。那样的话，自己
就不必做什么安排，只要跟班走就可以了。我家离学校有40麦，所以天天去学校上
BARBRI班根本不现实。如果上网听课的话，报班的好处就又打了折扣。我在了解了BAR
EXAM的内容之后，觉着自己在家准备也没问题，就跟版上发帖，买了一套BARBRI NY的
教材，另附一份上课的录音。另外，我还到EBAY买了一份 BARBRI NY HANDOUT。于是一
切就绪了。
我五月二十多考完期末，然后就是毕业典礼。按理说我应该马上开始学习，可是由于准
备期末考试的倦怠还挥之不去，我总是无法进入状态。而且一开始我还没摸索出最行之
有效的方法，一上来就去硬啃BARBRI MBE 的大部头，所以效果极差。这里要说说
BARBRI教材，大约是12本书，简直就是巨细无遗。 现在回头看看，根本没必要也不可
能需要这许多东西，最重要的其实还是 HANDOUT。 这HANDOUT其实是一份奇厚无比的讲

笔者可以说也是随着这股大流走上了这条道路。经历了两个月的艰苦复习，两天的高强
度考试以及发榜前的种种紧张和不安，对于金榜题名的同学来说这无疑是各种付出得到
了回报，对于名落孙山的同学来说也未必是世界末日。作为一个过来人，在这一切都过
去之后，再来理性地看待和思考一下纽约州律考的方方面面不仅可以作为对自己的这一
人生经历的一个总结，也希望可以为后来之人提供某些参考。

为什么是纽约州
美国有五十个州，各个州有各自的司法考试，从法律地位上而言，纽约州律师资格并不
比其他州更高。为何中国学生，或者说美国以外的学生大多报考纽约州律师考试。其最
主要的原因是因为纽约州是美国各州中为数不多的允许在美国以外的国家接受法学教育
的考生，通过在美国的一年LLM课程之后报名参考的州之一（根据笔者不精确的回忆，
另外两个类似的州应该是加利福尼亚州和威斯康辛州）。除此之外的其他多数州一般都
要求考生在美国或其他普通法国家接受过三年的法律教育。这主要是因为纽约州一直以

我认识的考NY bar的中国人都没报barbri，太贵了。NY bar的难度不需要报班应该也能

to adjust to the study mood :) 5 weeks to do the actual study.
In my case, I kinda lagged behind the Barbri schedule. In retrospect, however, I
would highly suggest you keep pace with Barbri as it puts together a
most sensible schedule for the whole thing. |
