发帖数: 4061 | 14 继续挖坑才发现，3月27号读完上一本书，到现在4月22号，一个月了一本都还没看完！
看来今年1月没给自己订任何新年读书计划非常明智。
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close 几乎浇灭了阅读的小火苗，读到100页弃了。真
的不对路子。今年不到5个月，弃了两本小说了，对我来说，挺多的已经。
接下来读的这本Half-Blood Blues，目前读到一半，这周无论如何要看完了，McCarthy
已经等不及了。
去年加拿大（是的，北面的也有人写书，除了Atwood以外）有两个年轻作家的作品比较
引人注目，其中一位 黑人女作家 Esi Edugyan 的 Half-Blood Blues 还进入了几个奖
项的最终名单，包括布克奖的短名单。目前为止，故事发生在1939年纳粹阴影下的柏林
和巴黎，一个爵士乐团和一位爵士女演唱者之间的友谊与爱情，忠诚与背叛。也是我第
一次接触音乐背景的小说。
小说语言特色鲜明，因为第一人称“我”本人既是Baltimore来的黑人，所以不仅人物
对话，包括叙述都是黑人英语，读起来很新鲜，很俏皮。其实用带有族裔色彩的英语写

对
我认为libertarianism是classic liberalism的嫡子，但是具体细节上classic
liberalism是不会讲大麻合法化的，因为当时还没想到。另外就是classic liberalism认
为其他barbarian民族在没开化前是不适用那套freedom democracy的社会管理制度的，因
此才有那种英国式的殖民（即尊重殖民地的文化传统，对更不开化的人采用牧民的统治手
段，而对稍微开化点的人给予一定的自治权）；而libertariansim则不去管别人是否
barbarian，我过我的，你过你的，不干涉主义，这也就是美国孤立主义传统的来源。
基本上有下面这些关系：
conservatism(in US) = free market + moralism
neo-liberalism = free market + a great government + globalization
neo-conservatism(in US) = interventionism foreign policy

今天，我非常震惊地发现，1946年《远东国际军事法庭判决书》（International
Military Tribunal for the Far East Judgment）网上居然有英语全文，那可是1500
页的文件啊。
我从不知道，这么重要的第二次世界大战的文件，网上居然可以轻易找到！国内媒体好
像从来没有宣传过这件事。我查了国家图书馆的数据库，发现这个文件很可能没有出版
过中译本。我不知道台湾是否出过中译本，当年南京政府应该有中文版的。
我对这个事情很不理解。
这是第一手的历史原件，历史价值就不用说了，对于爱国主义教育和揭露日本军国主义
的罪行，都有巨大的价值。可是，为什么大家都不知道呢？这是公共领域的材料，没有

老兄, 十二世纪的时候日耳曼人和塞尔特人又何尝有什么"科学精神的核心部分"?
一帮吃生肉的Barbarian罢了.
文明本来就是互动互相吸收精华的. 古希腊的遗产在十二世纪的时候是握在阿拉伯人
手里的. 蒙古铁骑横扫过后, 从小亚细亚到朝鲜半岛全部倒退五百年, 只有地中海
一圈没有受到太大的影响. 神圣罗马帝国的亨利V死后, 西班牙和荷兰同属Ferdinand,
因为天高地远给荷兰一个欧洲从未有过的自由空间, 由此后来的文艺复兴从意大利
和荷兰一带开始, 再后来就不用多讲了, 这是我个人对西方文明的传承关系的大致
理解. 而中国和这一切从十二世纪起完全被隔绝, 原因一则是封闭系统必然退化
(热力学第二定理哦), 二则是作为亚欧信使的阿拉伯人被蒙古一击后也烂到了底.
前一个是内因,后一个是外因, 而偶从来就不信什么"内因决定论". 外因可以激发
内在机制, 中国人又不是天生愚蠢, 偶不信唐人宋人对科学的接受能力就比意大利
人和荷兰人差了. 至于明人, 常于暗夜看明人罢 (方肘子最受推崇的一句诗喽)
