today's funeral Mass.
Pallbearers carried Musial's casket into the Cathedral while Amazing Grace

大家都知道老美身材普遍走样，所以我用的词汇是惊叹而不是惊艳。
然，偶尔有看到修长秀美的美人，让我这个同性也暗自激赏。
比较夸张的是，在听一个Scottish Bagpipe/Fiddler演出的时候，我不幸站在了最前排
，一位肚皮舞女郎走到我面前，举着手挺着胸对着我跳了足足五分钟不止，为了答复她
的盛情，我也跟着她的节奏开始跳啊跳啊跳 |

觉得有什么好听的。从头到尾，马友友也木有一段solo，琵琶和西洋乐器的混声听起来
怪怪的，唯一的感受就是那个吹bagpipe的女人真长气啊。 这样不是单位发的票，俺绝

accordion, and I sensed some flute or piccolo towards the end. Anyone could
clarify?
我也是音盲，本着求砖的精神胡说吧：一开始他模仿了一段小提琴(开始很干净顺滑，
结尾也许有别的乐器我没听出来)，然后观众欢呼，他说you want to be careful how
you encourage a harmonica player，然后不知道是什么，可能就是评论里说的那个风
笛，声音有点钝；紧接着就是小号，这个似乎比较明显，很高亢。接下来他一扬手来了
一段进行曲风格的（对不起LeChuck，知道名字还是对不上号），这一段有点杂，以口

别很大。这些演奏出来很难，但对我都一样：反正都不懂。有的他可能练了几天就成，
有的没准练了几个月。

乐也是有很大差别的。比如new age的，都比较类似流行音乐，比较能够被一般人接受
。但是有些，比如，scot他land那里的，很多bagpipe的，口味比较重，很多人不能接
受了。自己就是喜欢，也没有特别研究过，说得不对的地方请见谅了 |

lang syne。一对人马浩浩荡荡走过来，穿着圣诞老人的红白衣服，或者reindeer的打
扮，又唱又闹，喜气洋洋。一问都是facebook上认识的locals，凑一块玩来着。
跟吹风笛的人聊，说这是scottish highland bagpipe，说还有好多种风笛，german啊
bulgarian啊irish啊，说irish的最复杂，音域最宽广最好听。我咋只知道苏格兰风笛
。这种风笛看起来挺简单，用手按住下面一根笛子一样的管子吹。刚想试，他们就起身
走了，没试成。有人吹过风笛没有？不知道是不是吹起来很难很费力。我记得小学时学
吹小号，使足力气也没吹出声来。 |

生活的艺术，有一部分我不是不能领略。我懂得怎么看“七月巧云”，听苏格兰兵吹
bagpipe，享受微风中的藤椅，吃盐水花生，欣赏雨夜的霓虹灯，从双层公共汽车上伸
出手摘树巅的绿叶。在没有人与人交接的场合，我充满了生命的欢悦。可是我一天不能
克服这种咬啮性的小烦恼，生命是一袭华美的袍，爬满了蚤子。
《忘不了的画》
一条小路，银溪样地流去；两棵小白树，生出许多黄枝子，各各抖着，仿佛天刚亮。稍
远还有两棵树，一个蓝色，一个棕色，潦草像中国画，只是没有格式。看风景的人像是
远道而来，喘息未定，蓝糊的远山也波动不定。因为那候忽之感，又像是鸡初叫，席子

今年是纽约第241次St. Patrick's day parade.
主题是献给911英雄.所以游行队伍中纽约各部门
和不同county的警察消防队都有.还有许多从别的
州赶来的,如San Diego.还看到有穿了制服带着高
高的头盔的英国警察.还有"Oregon love NY"的
横幅.还有这次的预告说红衣主教会在正午时分
在64街做祷告,届时会有一分钟的silence.可惜
我在central park里走过了头,我以为掉在主教
的后面了,所以一个劲地往前赶.谁知道在80街等
了老半天,大约12点半的时候,主教大人才走到64
街.然后游行队伍和所有的观者都静止了,大家一
起面对南面,默哀一分钟.有不少人十分情绪化的.
对了,还有就是看到了Giuliani和Pataki也在队伍
里,一个率领NYFD,一个率领port authority.没看
到红衣主教,可能半道上就往回折了? 不知道. |

Championship比赛第一, 有过二十多年的professional经验, 教过十几年音乐.
他现在没有教自己孩子, 说要等他们自己要求了才开始教. 他自己是9岁开始学的.
不过他后来去stanford读了个EE的PHD, 说是自打孩子出生以后就不干音乐这一行了. :) |
