一下，肯定是没有用backplane. backplane一般都有内部风扇，散热好。。 |

你这个hotswap带backplane那是比较高级的bay了, 一般没有的. 不过backplane应该用
不了太多电吧. 一两瓦顶多了. |

Infiniband是比Ethernet现在有点优势。但是100G以后Ethernet的
延迟就很小了。现下的<4us的switch已不难买到。
Sun以前搞了个世界最大Infiniband Switch。结果怎样？有几个人用？
那个星云，用曙光的刀片箱。那用什么Interconnect？曙光的刀片箱
有什么样的Backplane? 你说啊？不是超级吗？懊，原来还是用外国人
的Infiniband Switch啊？不是自主开发吗？到底开发什么啦？
我说的USCD的那个例子，就是证明那些东西没啥技术。就是拼拼凑凑。

等可靠的2TB中...
估计会用Norco的20 hotswap bay的廉价机箱 supermicro的贵了
Norco机箱的backplane比较好，是那种SAS-4SATA的线，布线就干净多了
最多用6-10个硬盘在线上，其实经常看的东西也就那么些
主要是2TB的wav 要在线上
主板有可能是Supermicro的
raid卡肯定用areca的，这个不能省
网卡用Intel的 |

. 因
为不想让现在的公司知道，将来要去交485的工作，所以并不想提出终止 perm的
process.
还有一个原因就是，万一485有个意外呢，有个backplan? 。。。?
问了自己的律师说485 与新的perm不冲突（但是不能交140)，不过更相信班上各位的的
意见。
交了485后还能交新perm吗？

google做这些东西的目的一定很单纯--fix their own problem。不可能是拿到市场上
去吆喝，买钱。
不符合其利益。
一个backplane的fabric chipset就能做死人。
一个系统做出来，还需要3，4年才能稳定下来。
其中之投入太大，除非买断J. |

从sup1, sup2/2, sup720 pfc3a到现在pfc3c，还有未来的更快的，backplane也从最早
的shared bus到8g cross-bar，到20G CROSS-BAR,将来还要支持80g/slot，linecard就
更不用说了，现在的ES+和ASR9k上的几乎一样，都是ezchip的NP，实现的功能还更多。
现在的76早不是以前的76了。但是76最大的问题其实还是ios本身，cisco的os policy
基本上就是sp用ios xr，data center用nx-os，ip services用ios xe，其他边边角角
用ios（未来也可能用非ios），所以7600跑ios在sp的大环境下，就显得过时了。但是
等asr9k feature parity上来还需要很久

team proposing ASR9k to replace our campus 6500 backbone. Some features in
ASR9K like VPLS, EoMPLS that we would like to explore. But I am confused
that there is no zone based firewall, IOS firewall or FWSM for ASR9K. We
have ACLs and FWSMs for our 6500. Is ASR9K positioned to service provider
only? Or we just have to use external ASA for security? The other thing for

原因就是热插拔,因为时不时的有这个需求,直接把硬盘拿出来带到别的地方用
我HTPC是dell的hybrid,直接通过11n无线播电影,1080p没问题
但是东西越来越多我考虑升级一下存储系统 |

为30分钟后硬盘sleep，再访问，也需要３－５秒以上的时间。估计WHS wake up应该和
