的人的建议就是：不要找financial advisor,你自己就能搞定。
我觉得有必要辩证的看问题，以免误导投资新手。
首先，Asset manager/Investment Advisor 是一种professional专业,是靠提供专业的
服务来make a living. 这就跟医生律师一样。这是一大群人，里面
一定良莠不齐，肯定有一些害群之马违背职业操守去推销产品卖保险。
你不会碰到一两个卖黑心药的医生或者黑心的律师你就觉得他们全部没用了吧。投资者
一般轻易都能分辨出提供服务的还是推销产品的。如果不能分辨，
就直接要求对方disclosure, 法律严格规定金融业需要提供这些资料，
否则即使你亏了也可以上庭起诉要回来。 （我觉得现在金融业
成了法规最多的行业了，有人在banking的compliance department的人一定
深有同感吧）
其次，到底要不要找专业投资人士理财？其实很简单，关键是根据自己的情况做成本Co

偶不是传统financial economics出身，不过出于兴趣也看了不少asset pricing的书，感
觉是难找一本完美的。
Duffie的Dynamic Asset Pricing Theory，内容全面，数学功夫深刻，但是很少关注细节
，比如把CAPM给人当习题做。看得数学倒是眼花缭乱，但是太缺economic sense.
Huang Chifu的Foundations for financial economics,也算经典，但是结构很糟糕，而
且内容还是80年代的水平。
Copeland的Financial Theory and Corporate Policy，前半部讲asset pricing，结构比
Huang好，但内容同Huang一样老。
能推荐一本内容比较新 |

考虑。如果真的是很小的＂fixed asset" 应该公司有个最低limit,小于那个limit 的
应该直接expense了吧。丢百分之二三十从报表角度来讲即使是不material, 从
internal control 来讲这个百分比肯定是material的。这个无论大公司小公司，只要
是上市公司，都是有所要求的吧。
哪位专业的解解惑？
公司越大，这些小件的fixed assets反而不material,就是丢百分之二三十也不会对財
报产生什么影响，外审也不会care这些吧 |

sell side and buy side. 如果 investment / asset management 真得那么好，为什
么mba 很少有加入的。

assets找出一个outperform另一个的trend。比如，当A比B的return高的时候，就算是
一个tick出现了，然后再比较前一个period的tick来决定如果分配这两个asset的
allocation percentage。但是我进的这个组根本没有人懂得这个模型的细节，仅有的
一个用这个模型的college graduate也只是读模型的数据，开发者早就离开了。我现在
完全是在猜测。有没有相关书籍活着资料推荐的？ |

是因为要让 hedge fund bid 去发现价格, 因为政府没法自己发现价格.
但是问题就在于在 Toxic Asset Plan下, 资产价格将基本上取决于政府
给的 incentive (具体推理过程略). 所以问题就是政府会提供多少 incentive.
这本身就和政府自己定价把钱直接扔给银行没有区别, 只不过是化妆了
一下而已.

(Depreciation and Amortization) 的 Asset Entry Worksheet item 4 "Type of
Asset" 里面，好像相关的只有 "I. Residential Rental Real Estate" 和
"Nonresidential real estate". 应该选什么呢？谢过了。 |

这个是旧帖重发，职位仍然有效。
这里先给大家道个歉，上次其实收到不少简历，但是可能是因为我没有讲清楚，很多简
历：1，不在纽约附近（我们公司不负担IT部门的面试费用，因为不是IT公司）。2，没
有什么美国的工作经验。3，其实想做的不是IT。我当时没贴邮箱，所以要靠短信不断
来回，后来自己都跟的有点lost了。所以最后我只交上去3个简历，fail了一个，1个不
知道为啥没下文。最后一个可能下个星期要onsite了（因为他们现在有工作，我拖到过
了新年后才交了简历，否则他们等不到bonus）。
当然前面这些不便都是我的错，我在发帖的时候其实对于那个职位的要求自己也很模糊
，现在贴一个模板吧（这个是官方的职位要求，我看来都是套话）：
