再论RAP和TTAP的差别——对ott和ASH回复的回复

看来RAP和TTAP这个话题还是有不少人感兴趣。我原文只是要纠正新语丝两
篇文章对RAP的几处错误解读，这里我再花点时间对两篇回文逐一回复一下。读
者也可以google一下AP和RAP在美国大学的差别，这些职位的描述在一些名校之
间是相互借鉴的。
两篇回复，简短而言，ott和ASH认为我淡化了RAP和TTAP之间的重要差别。
我原文仅仅是用事实来说明“RAP无论在官方或学术界并没有要低TTAP一等”以
及驳斥两篇新语丝帖子的部分观点。那些差别那个更重要并不是论述的重点，而
且重要程度因人而异，比如我提到的有些教授根本不在乎什么他们的头衔。在
ott和ASH两位认为我将他们认为的主要差别轻描淡写后，他们的回复中又顺便加
了一下个人主观的臆测和不正确的结语。Ott将RAP描述为一万恶资本家手下的包

东部的自然风光比起西部来虽说略有不如，但是人文景观还是非常值得一看的。
这次出门因为不是专门的旅游，就没有计划的很周详，这个Ash Lawn-Highland庄园是在
AAA的tourbook上临时看到的，去了以后感觉不错。
先给大家补充点历史知识。这个美国的第三任总统Thomas Jefferson 老先生喜欢他的好
朋友们都居住在一块，用我们的话讲叫拉帮结派。总之啦，结果呢，美国的第四任总统
James Madison 和第五任总统 James Monroe 都把家安得和Thomas老先生很近，几乎是
Walking Distance 了。这个Ash Lawn-Highland 就是James Monroe住过的地方。人家当
总统的就是不一样，庄园里好大的一片草地呀，据说从前是种植园来着。据说Thomas老先
生的庄园要大得多，房子也气派的多，可惜时间不够，没去成，遗憾呀。
庄园里有导游，游客积聚到一定人数就开始领我们参观庄园里的房子，就是James Monroe
当年的住所。据说Monroe军人出身，不喜奢华，所以房子建得很小，简直就是寒 |

室以外部分跟一个安分的访问学者三口之家合用，他们用了2个小卧室和另外一个厕所
。有桌子，床，椅子，炊具等简单家具提供，你基本不需要准备任何东西。双车库对半
分。我们的房租包括气水电无线网，不用负担任何utility。短长期租均可商量。

早上看我南京来的同事美丽白嫩的额头上抺着一条灰 我好意告诉她脸上有灰了 她却告
