产物。我知道你在搞一个项目，我雇个编剧另起炉灶再搞一个。

教運動。他宣稱能夠算出世界末日的時刻，最初的資料來源是從聖經的啟示錄。
他是於西元1914年開始發跡的。他宣稱在那一年，所謂的哈米吉多頓(Armageddon)戰
役將發生，在那次戰役中，所有的耶和華真實見證人都能獲得拯救，亦即有144,000位見
證人都能得到特有的救贖。同時，能夠在天堂和耶穌基督一起統治整個即將來臨的新世界
。而其它餘存的見證人將被以其它方式獲得拯救：首先，他們將清除所有非耶和華見證人
的死者，然後在地球上建立一個新的天堂般王國。而迫切的毀滅徵兆即是：天災、不斷增
加的暴力事件、戰爭和經濟動亂。
然而當世界末日並未於西元1914年發生時，他又預言了其它新的時間：西元1918年、
1925年、1941年及1975年。這些不斷錯誤的預測每次都讓人覺得頗尷尬，可是頗富想像力
的解釋說詞卻從未短缺過。雖然不再有Ar-mageddon戰爭將發生的年份預測，世界末日的
到臨仍究是教義中最重要的部份。不過，耶和華的見證人似乎認為西元2000年會是一個轉
機。
