2010年圣诞节前，收到李荫远先生的e-短信。云：“多年不通音信。钱先生辞世不觉已
十一年了，我手边只有他指导的科学史学生早年写的传略。我在网上读到过你的两篇回
忆散文，都是关于大学刚毕业时期的，也许你真该动笔写回忆录了，不是写你正确与否
，而是可以给二、三十年后治史学者之采择与评论。”
这里钱先生是指钱临照。李荫远先生曾任中国科学院物理研究所副所长，1962-1965年
间，我一边在科技大学教书，一边在李先生门下作研究。李先生现年已92岁，已洗手物
理，也不参加院士活动，转而研究新诗，2006年有“当代新诗读本”出版。
因我忙于日常的教学和研究，“剩余劳动力”不多了，没有写回忆录的能量。加之，“
回忆录”这类“书”，如美元一样，正在贬值。然而，如李先生所言，“二、三十年后
治史学者”的兴趣并不在于回忆者自陈的“正确与否”，而在于可“采择与评论”的史

is descendants of the Hilly Flanks too (if you use Hilly Flanks to refers to
people who first farm). Chinese didn't invent farming on their own, in fact
, the parent group of Chinese were probably already farming when Chinese
split from the parent group.
Singling out Chinese is a very insidious move, there's no good academic
reason but political and economic one. |

competing theories of how agriculture arises. Looks like how and when
farming started is a hotly debated issue.
One thing is for sure, Chinese didn't invent farming, because earliest
domesticated rice found in China were 13900 years ago, when the modern day
Chinese wasn't even evolved as a group of their own yet. LOL.

被全美最高法院支持。1952年被废除。当然是否如文章所说是被志愿军打出来的结果就
很难说了。我记得是加州最高法院直接宣判为非法的。
更狠的加州宪法还有一条，1879年的voter rights条款，禁止中国移民拥有投票权，而
且是永远如此。"ever"，1926年废除。

抽象思维发达起来之后，人们有了归纳的概念，语言才逐步简化。
英语原来的动词变位也是很复杂的，现在只有is、am、are还能看出一些，哦，还有has
。其他的呢？
莎士比亚的时代，连will都分 I will，thou wilst，he/she willt。
现在英语的你，不管是你还是你们，也不管主格宾格，都是you；
莎士比亚的时代，你的主格是thou，宾格是thee；你们的主格是ye（《义勇军进行曲》
的英文，第一句是“Arise，All ye who don't want to be slave”，就是按英文的“
文言文”翻译的），宾格是you。 |
