问问大家，KC哪个town相对来讲比较安全？精华区说kansas side要比missouri side安
全，但是房租也会相应的贵些。Google说Johnson County（在kansas side)不错。我们

。。。。
如果你不在乎价格的话，morris plain有个山上的apt看着不错，从287下来到10号路
west，一下来远远就能在10号路上遥望山顶那一团白色的建筑.
East hanover有几个不错的，还有几个非常不错的，不过价格也比较贵。 |

适。看了一周房子，apt community那种基本都要一年lease。私人自己出租的房子和
sublease的没有找到很多。
如果谁要出租或者share房子的，站内信我吧。希望能在parsippany附近，最好是有独
立entrance的1 br apt, 或者跟人share也行，只要条件过得去室友人比较nice就可以
。希望lease不要求超过6个月，并且能尽快搬进去，最好是下周之内就available. 谢

情况如何呀?
准备2月过来，如果可以的话，通过网上就可以直接预约了，省的连住的地方都没有。
另外，工作在manhatton，是不是也可以考虑在长岛住？但为什么看了些帖子，大家对
那里的评价不高？那里有什么好的APT推荐的吗？2bedroom的。

新手第一次出租apt，在craiglist上发的广告，现在有人发信表示感兴趣，很激动啊很
激动
不过激动之余，有几个问题还没弄清楚：
1,怎么查别人的credit？我想象，来人的驾照或者是护照肯定是要复印一份的，SSN肯
定也是要的，要来以后去哪里查呢？
2,要一个半月的房租做deposit不过分吧？
3,我听说有房东把锁换成指纹的，这样换房客时就不用换锁了。实际中可行么？最好有
人用过谈谈体会
4,我在New Jersey，有什么租房时要特别注意的么？如果有在New Jersey的同学能
share一个标准lease就更好了。

这个community叫18 park，只建好1年多，非常新，stainless电器，洗衣机和烘干机就
在apt里。
(可以check他们家的网站18park.com)
街边就是light rail (Marin Blvd)站，也靠近grove PATH站。或者坐轻轨到exchange
pl转PATH也很方便，15分钟左右到WTC。
楼下也有小超市，非常方便。
1b/1b lease到明年9月结束。价格是2475每月，包水。因为是lease transfer，
leasing office要check credit这些。
客厅和卧室一样大，所以两人合租也是可以的。
现在就available，因为一些变动所以急着要搬家，愿意转租时多付500。

俺几年前在Elmhurst租了个apt，后来lease到期renew了，现在的renewal lease规定如
果俺要搬走，需要给landlord 30-day written notice。俺打算10月6日搬走，于是9月
6日打电话给landlord商讨关于notice的问题，被告知只需要写一份notice然后fax给他
即可，但俺需要付整个10月份的rent。俺觉得很不make sense，遂问之，landlord回应
说这是by law。
landlord不是私人，而是一个management company。所以觉得对方骗我的可能虽然有，
但也可能对方是对的。google了一下，发现一个和俺类似的案例，但俺看不懂第一个回
答者引用的那段statute。请懂法律或者有类似经验的朋友指教一下：俺的landlord的
要求（即付整个10月房租）合乎法律么？谢谢！

离M，R地铁少于5分钟，交通方便，到midtown大约45分钟（door-to-door）
