1. My parents live in Hubei. According to the embassy website, they could go
any consulates. But the shanghai consulate website still has the old info
and don't take applications outside of their district. Anyone has
experiences in this regards?
2. I remember there is a website about the appoitment time availablity. We'd
like to go to Shanghai before the month end. Still possible? anyone knows
that website link?

i think for interview appointment
time, it should be fine since it only give you a slot for interview. the
decision depends on your application
package rather than the information you gave me to make an appointment. As
long as you can enter the
consulate and do the interview, i guess it should be fine but i myself haven
't execute this yet.
about expediate interview appoitment, go to consulate page and search this.

1. they require you to pay the visa fee first, when you call for the appt,
they will ask for the fee receipt number --- a very awkward policy, which
requires you to find someone to pay the money for you.
2. for h1b you need to provide the 797 form number for the appt.
that was my own experience, and i did get the appt done yet since i did not
have anyone who can help pay the money for me. btw, you need send a copy of

EB1B,啥都没做，140没pp，485也没做SR，干等等来的，早上9.30am的email update，
485大约4.5个月，大约是平均速度。
感谢phd老板给我找了4个大牛人写推荐信，2个院士，还有MIT，哈佛老教授大牛，老板

出了一封，一共5封。感谢公司老板快速帮我对HR和律师施压，入职后立刻搞绿卡，并
cover所有费用，连体检费都给cover，太nice了。
拿到ead/AP combo那一刻，140没批就买好回国机票过年了，捏了把汗。 |

诉我在处理，六十天内来，到了十月22号忍不住了， 直接INFOPASS 约了去就近的 ASC
, 进去说明情况，他们立刻从系统中调出了一张 FP appoitment notice, 7月28号就应
该打的。 居然没寄给我，或者弄丢了，害我一直以为没给我安排，如果干等下去就出
事了。还好，他们马上要我现场打指纹。所以我建议你们没按时收到指纹通知的，别等
了，直接去ASC，也别电话SR.

前面有人提new england ob/gyn，医生都是bwh的，肯定不差，
但整个系统是piece of crap，每次appoitment都是急冲冲的，
三言两语就要赶人
每次打电话都是voicemail留言，从来没有活人接电话
后来我google他们的review，才发现早就无数人complain过。
我老婆先从harvard vanguard换去new england ob，
因为想在bwh生，后来实在受不了，又换回harvard vanguard （shirley） |

，我简直不敢相信自己的耳朵。几个月前还在课堂上那样生动讲解的人，几个星期还和
我通过邮件的人就这样的离开了我们。真的不敢相信这是真的。pifu的lab和我们有很
好的合作关系。没有pifu，我们在新开辟的领域里面会举步维艰。pifu对自己的工作的
热情是非常感染人的。仅仅从他的讲课中，我从他的话中听到了对科学研究无比的热爱
。也仅仅只是在他的课上，我一点小差没开得听了2个小时。
本来想和pifu讨论一下关于final exam的问题。pifu也说了没问题。可是因为忙，我错
过了第一个appointment。本来想下周去找他的，结果~~~~~~~`
现在心情都无法平静。我们实验室的很多人心中也非常沉痛。远在中国的实验室元老，
也无比震惊。是啊，一个这么年轻有为的人，一个这么和蔼可亲的人，一个如此乐于助
人的人，一个如此热爱生活的人就这么离去了。

上8点赶到DMV，刚开门人不多，记住没APPOITMENT要去一定要赶在8点前，排队的没人
，我很激动，打着排三个小时，不过另外一边有APPOINTMENT的优先，所以等了一会，
老太还挺麻利，让我把车开指定位置把车盖打开。我移了车回来填表又去排队，人忽然
多了，队老长，8点半的样子，排了一半被人叫出去了，人要看车，白排了，查车的人
挺好的，就记了几个数字，不查车灯扎啤啥的，查完拿表又去排队，老太审查了表格，
给了号坐等，大概9点，等到10点样子，拿了牌照和TAG，TITLE几周后才寄来，注意DMV
只收CASH CHECKS 和DEBIT，还有SMOG TEST,注意外洲来的不能超过20天，日期就胡编
一个，没人管。办完，顺便去COSTCO加了点油，3.78。 |

我一看情形不对，赶紧道歉，
她继续说态度很恶劣的说，你看我在working,你不跟我约时间就来，打扰我工作。this
