我的情况：
F2-F1, 美国国内transfer,非敏感专业，没有奖学金，financial statement跟I-20一
年的钱差不多。因为没有奖学金，所以只要递交申请就可以开始上课，这是学校的
international official说的，也解决了我们很大的问题，毕竟去加拿大签证很繁琐。
所以还是提前跟学校的IOE的负责人谈一谈，我们研究了半天如何在加拿大签证，结果
白花了签证费。在咨询过officer之后，事情办的非常快，国际学生办公室的officer人
非常好。银行账户是我跟老公一起的，但是老公还是做了I-134。
8月26日发priority mail,过两三天给出receipt notice，之后就一直没有update，今
天9月24日就给出email notice ，approved.一共没有超过一个月。

我是J1，在麻省总医院交换，二月底去温哥华开一个学术会议，一月初就开始着手办理
了。看了精华区和大使馆的网页，发现有面签和寄签两种方式。由于我时间还早，就办
理了寄签。1.22通过USPS的express mail寄出去，2.4日就收到了附有visa的护照，还
是挺快的。我是在纽约加拿大使馆办的，他们网页上写着不负责寄回快递公司如Fedex,

Is there a good way to set/change the proxy settings dynamically?
Using the command line -D options doens't look good.
Using the System.properties is acceptable but it requires restart of JVM too
after each setting.
The weird thing is setting System.properties in our application server doesn
't seem take any affect.

再说一遍,偶不是高手.谁证明的Hungarian只有O(N^3),和矩阵求逆一个量级的?
看看Dimitri P. Bertsekas的书,象auction很难简单用O(N^k)来分析的,和许多
因素有关.JVC是偶知道的目前最popular的算法,其改进版本很多.如果你知道
一些assignment bipartites,等于加了新的constraints,如果能化简为linear
network flow,潜在变量数就小于N,否则偶还是不知道算法复杂性如何降低.

ble的idea，偶感觉，有这样的idea的，并且开辟了某个新的研究领域的人最后都得诺贝
尔奖了，况且也不是每个得诺贝尔的人都这么牛。大多数人所作的研究都是延续性的，是
对某个已经存在的问题的深入讨论，这样的研究同样很重要，决不是没有意义的拾人牙慧
而已，更谈不上同流合污。当然有的研究者有沽名钓誉的嫌疑，这个咱们不跟他们学。
至于你所说的，paper中总是在重复别人讲的东西，这个是必然的啊。每篇文章都要有个
所谓的literature review，偶讲过了，大多数人都在做延续性的工作，所以，想要证明
你的文章有意义有价值就必须参照引用同期或近期的相关研究工作。literature review
写的好的paper一般也是比较popular的，被引用的频率也高，偶就比较喜欢看这类的pape
r。
你的心态是好的，做科研的当然要发现新的领域，做别人没做过的。但是研究工作总是要
一步一步来，期望一开始就抓到个宝贝的心态不现实，而且一定要对万一自己设计的研究
思路不能成功有心理准备。
