own risk analysis and appetite to pick the most suitable:
#1 Gold coins / bars
Pro: Physical in your possession, no counter-party risk.
Con: Confiscation. Theft. IRS.
#2 PHYS (a gold certificate kinda ETF)
Pro: Not (yet) need to pay appreciation tax like GLD. Easy to trade.
Con: A premium charge. Cannot fully trust any certificate.
#3 Gold mining stocks (don't use leverage here)
Pro: Easy to trade.
Con: Easy to manipulate. |

时候，美国人是居高临下，把中国当小学生看待，时不时会指点指点、训导训导。而眼
下胡总访美，却让很多美国人心里酸酸的，也说不出是高兴还是难受，反正不太自在吧
。按理说，胡总来一趟，就签了四五百亿的商业合同，美国人应当高兴才对。可当他们

刚看了一篇文章有感。
老生常谈，如果不能简单说风险和汇报是成正比，至少可以肯定的说是正关联 (
positively correlated) 的吧。
忘记了那里看到的，有钱的人不需要冒太大的险；但是有能力冒险。没有钱的人需要冒
险；但是有不能承受风险。
刚才看的文章是今天 WSJ C11，题目是: ETFs? Not right Now. 介绍 Donna Levy, 据
说是2010 Barron 杂志年度前100名独立投资建议人。当然比不上WB，SOROS这些巨大牛
，但是象我辈凡人，看平凡人的感觉真实一点。她公司管的资产是：6B。她说（原话）：
A typical client with a moderate risk appetite earned an annualized 6.4%
before fees over the three years ended March 31, Ms. Levy says.
