周一，加拿大会议局全国和各省份预测部主任Pedro Antunes指出，今年加拿大失业率将稳步上升，在2010年中旬达到高峰，至9.5%。"就业损失在今年末将继续增加，但是损失程度不会像今年第一季度这么严重。"

今次的经济衰退期跟以往年代的衰退期相比，年轻人失业的更早、更快。加拿大经济学家Pedro Antunes指出，这种状况可能不会持续太长时间，随着老一代劳动力的陆续退休，年轻人有望填补劳动力市场的空缺。

增加4.6%达到531亿元。
加拿大经济强劲的最大功臣当属美国。美国对加拿大的汽车和汽车零件的进口增长高达
12.4%，达到84亿元。加拿大对美国总出口也打破了单月纪录，总计393亿元。
